I asked for a supervisor, and was told by him that they were told the NCAA forbids signs of any size in post season play. That is complete and utter crap. TD Ameritrade has posted their rules for Omaha. No sign on sticks or poles, or bigger than what you can carry. These were also the sign rules for the NCAA Final 4 in basketball.
Someone needs to get this straightened out. I want my signs at tonight's game, dam it!
I am serious. If anyone knows who I should talk to, please let me know.

I was told that the NCAA controls the rules I postseason at NCAA institution parks. TD not a NCAA institution park so they get to make their own rules. Not sure if that is accurate??

Lets get some people that know some people in on this. for goodness sakes eugenedave is the "sign guy" & if we cannot get him in under that then maybe some form of mascot clause? meet with casey outside the park and then he hands them out of the dugout in the 1st?

I noticed the advertising signs are still up on the outfield walls. That must have changed. Perhaps you need to go get a Freebird Auto Body sign. Freebird on one sign. You can't buy your way to Omaha on the other
Or see the Glassman. That was the greatest spot ever

Perhaps they are just proactively problem solving. They could anticipate that one, instead of holding it on one's lap, one might hold it up in the air so it obstructs the vision of the person(s) behind. If that person were me, I would first ask you politely to hold it down so I could see. The second time I would not so politely tell you to hold it down or I will take from you and stick it up your ahem. The third time, I would just do it.
I do have a solution. Use poster board. Bend it (them) around your trunk and put on your shirt and jacket. Once you be inside, you and your signs might be OK. Often better to ask for forgiveness rather than for permission.

My contact at the baseball office just messaged me that stadium security staff has changed, because this is an NCAA event. They are not allowing team managers into the dugout, and players like Casey and Gambrell have to watch the game from the stands. Unbelievable.
This is just another stupid and arbitrary rule they can make, in order to be complete and total a-holes. I am adding the NCAA to my short list of things I hate and want to see destroyed.

NCAA = National Collegiate Association of A$$holes. Kind of like their rule of taking a year's eligibility from a guy who played a sport while on active duty in the military.

Sagey, you know me. I do not block peoples view. And they are made from heavy posterboard. The problem is the stadium security supervisor I spoke with last night roves the place, and will surely see them if I sneak them in. I do not want to get thrown out and banned from the rest of the post season games at Goss.

That sounds like a lame excuse, it sure looks like the same people doing security that are there during the regular season. It's the school passing the buck, but the NCAA dictates everything from what brand of sunflower seeds the players eat to type of toilet paper in the clubhouse, so it is what it is........

Those of you watching other Regionals on ESPN, have you seen signs at any other games?
I'm about out of ideas for tonight. I have been told the team wants to see my signs too. Guess they don't count either.

I have not seen any signs in any of the stands during yesterday's games or on the ESPN Bases Loaded today... If you can, why not take it to the bullpen area on the way to the gate and see if one of the guys down there can sneak it in for you?

Sneaking them in isn't the issue. The issue is getting kicked out for having them. I will be signless, again. Damn the NCAA to hell.
