We pretty much know who's coming back or in this next season (with the exception of knowing if N'Diaye is returning or not), so now's as good of a time as any to predict a starting five for next season.
My prediction for at least the first few games is Big G, Eubanks, Tinkle, S. Thompson and McLaughlin. I think there will be plenty of time one of our two big guys are taking a break and E.Thompson joins the other four on the floor.
Later in the season, if E.T. turns out to be pretty special, I'm thinking he could move into a starting spot and depending what kind of mix Coach T. likes best, any one of three (McLaughlin/S.Thompson/Big G.) could find themselves on the bench the first 4-6 minutes of the game but still get plenty of minutes.
That's my guess. I'd be perfectly happy with N'Diaye returning healthy, I think it would make for an interesting front court rotation.

Can't argue with any of that.

Can't argue with any of that. Someone will be able to though... I am cautiously optimistic with what OSU MBB could do next year. I may be in the minority on this board, but I hope DE comes back next year.

I could see us playing more of a golden state kind of lineup with the Thompsons and McLaughlin at guards, Tink at forward, Drew down low. If match ups are bad then Big G or N'Diaye could get more time. I also wouldn't overlook Kone who may be a different player with a fully healed knee and a year of experience. If Reichle is the shooter he's advertised to be, he may also get some spot time. It's going to be an intriguing year. I really hope Tinkle can stay healthy this year!

To beavs6, Eubanks has already pulled his name from the draft. He should be back.

There certainly are a lot of options this hear. I'm thinking Kone may be looking different this year as well.

To beavs6, Eubanks has already pulled his name from the draft. He should be back. Correct. Between speculation that he would leave no matter what (international, which could still occur) and the opinions expressed by people that hope he does not return; I wanted to state I hope he does come back and play for OSU. I think he will continue to develop at both ends of the floor and really help this team compete.

Here's mine: Pos. Starter. Back-Up. 3rd String 1: McLaughlin. Reichle. Stacy 2: S. Thompson. Manuel. Smith (WO) 3: E. Thompson. Hollins Sanders (WO) 4: Tinkle. Kone Berger 5: Eubanks. Rakocevic. N'Diaye
A much healthier roster than last year! If we can stay healthy.

I'm totally with you, I think that would be a really good lineup to contend with. Maybe not starting, but I could easily see that lineup in A LOT.

Like others, I'm interested to see how Kone develops with the experience he gained last year and a healthy summer to work on his game. I also think Berger might be a nice surprise. I don't expect him to get tons of minutes or be a world-beater, but if he can be a high-energy guy who does the little things he would fill a role that I think the Beavers lacked last year.

He brought it up a little bit when I watched him play this past season, but I think he's really a wing / 3pt shooter these first few years. If that's the case, that means it's going to be some combo of Stevie, Manuel or *gasp* Stacy behind Jacquori. Of course, I could be wrong.. wouldn't be the first time. A much improved Jacquori would be huge for us. I guess I could probably say that about any of those names above

I guess I could probably say that about any of those names above I agree with you, but I was trying to get Reichle on the second team, and Stacy on the third team. Seemed to be the only way to accomplish both. I didn't see Manuel as much of a point, and would love to keep Stevie at the 2 or 3. I guess McLaughlin gets 30+ minutes a game, and for the other 10- minutes. Wonder where Derrick Bruce ended up?

I believe Derrick Bruce (now going under P.J.) has signed with Jacksonville St. after playing last year at a JUCO in Florida.
As to the PG situation, I don't think Reichle can play the 1 either. I think we'll see about the same as we saw last year with Stevie and Manuel spending some time there. What will make that better is with Tres back, I think we'll see him initiating some of the offense too.
