It's good to get a loss before the post season. Really, it is. Bring these guys back down to earth and realize that baseball is baseball and anything can happen.

Larnach's homer was certainly needed. Would be nice to get at least the tying run here in the 7th before it gets any later.

FWIW.....my Dad played football for "Abilene Christian College" back in 1955. He blew out an ankle, and that..was..that. After he healed up, he became a U.S. Marine.

This "crowd" is funny... no matter how bad we play, how poor the competition the W is "special". Lol
Kinda demeans what "special" really is!??
The season has been special so far, but this win versus this opponent was far from special. Just a fortunate W against a far inferior team.

On any given night a pitcher can turn into a no hit machine regardless of the squad that he's on and tonight we saw a Abilene Christian pitcher who had the Beavers up against the wall pitching the game of his life. Then something fluky happened and their bull pen couldn't hold the game for them. Why can't you just enjoy the moment like the rest of us and take the win instead of insulting both squads by saying that one Squad didn't deserve to be out on that field with us with a chance to beat us and we didn't deserve the win because of it. I'm certainly glad that you never coached any of my children because while your knowledge of the game maybe adequate, your knowledge of player psychology, fan psychology and fun psychology is really in need of a lot more developmental league time. |
