there is a difference in reaction when their players catch the ball. They attack, they pass immediately. Our players catch the ball and then appear pleased to have completed that task. Then they spend a lot of effort and time setting up their next thing whether that be a pass, or a drive. It never looks automatic or part of a play.
That is not experience it is coaching.

I've thought there's some kind of disconnect on offense the last three years. I want to think it's the makeup of the team and it'll come around, but it really could be the coaching. I do feel they're doing some things better than they were earlier in the season, but for now I gotta admit I prefer watching the lady Beavs offensive play.

There is no comparison between Altman and Tinkle's teams. I realize Altman can recruit to better recent tradition and facilities but this is 5 straight NCAA tourney appearances and that streak does not appear to be anywhere near over. His teams always get better as the year goes on and they are always solid defensively and have great ball movement.

In Eugene, they coach five ways on the court to success. Just need to coach the "4-ways" off the court down to 2.

Start with the "known" rapists... then head to do your own research troll. Between your football and basketball players and coaches you have plenty. And seemed to have continued the tradition of hiring "high quality" coaches! Lol

Wayne Tinkle's worse season as a head coach at Montana was 14-16. Overall at Montana he was 158-89 (64%) and in conference play he was 97-39 71%. He never finished worse than 4th, won the league in the regular season twice, won the big sky tourney three times. He got Montana into the dance 3 times. Is the implication that he suddenly forgot how to coach? We were certainly not saying that in the last two years... Tinkle is a dramatic improvement over CR. Two significantly overachieving years allows a coach the privilege to fix a bad year. Heck, a lot of use were REALLY worried a big school was going to swoop in and grab Tinkle last year. There was interest. I guess it is all, what have you done for me lately? Personally, I think it is far easier to accept attrition, re balancing and youth... also that whole losing your best player (both Payton and Tinkle..)

And seemed to have continued the tradition of hiring "high quality" coaches! Lol Name me the known rapists and link me to their criminal records. Brandon Austin never touched the court, and this has nothing at all to do with the football team. I want to know the names of the criminals that Altman has played while at UO. I'm sure you will answer with the "rapists" Damyeon Dotson and Dominic Artis, but neither of them played a game for UO after their alleged crimes. No charges for either of them, by the way, the evidence was horrific and the situation was handled horrifically by the school. Honestly not trying to troll, I would like a real answer as to who the other criminals that Altman has played are.

The alleged crimes were committed on March 8th, reported to the police March 9th, and evidently shared with the University soon thereafter (definitely before the NCAA tournament, which the players participated in). The players were suspended after the news broke publicly.

Not to mention some well publicized "behavior" at a previous school that Altman lied about knowing, when it was totally refuted by their former coach saying he completely informed the Oregon coach of all the transgressions. Also DAs civil case/responsibility that either was settled privately or has yet to come to court. Either way it caused quite the stir whether school/state paid counsel should be able to defend him. DA is a liar and a win at all cost type... at least Chip just cheated and did not help create additional opportunities for rapists to turn a young woman's life into a nightmare. But, then again all this was well publicized... repeatedly... so just your defense of him shows the level of your moral integrity.

Still waiting for that list of "known rapists." Your on a slippery slope. In America we can get away with this. Thank goodness we are not in England. What are you gonna do? Report this site to the district attorney. Go ahead sue us fans here! www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-lancashire-31299325

Easy guys, you all are indeed on a "slippery slope." Never say in public or commit to print anything that you cannot prove 100%. It will come back to bite you in the arse one way or the other, if not just in karma. (jeez, I hate this auto spell you have to come back and edit.)
I suggest we just let this thread die a natural death.

The more you know: collegebasketball.nbcsports.com/2014/05/07/oregon-was-aware-of-rape-allegations-march-9th-told-by-police-not-to-take-action/ Not to mention Dotson and Artis are not rapists, because ya know, that would require the police to have found evidence and filed charges. In fact the players later sued the school because the situation was handled so poorly on their behalf. There was no crime involving Artis and Dotson, nor Brandon Austin while at UO. So now that we have all learned a bit today, I'd like to know what other criminals Altman has played while at UO.

We are Beaver fans here. It is our prerogative to view our rival coach in any light we want, hyperbole or not, fair or not. this is a zero sum game. You are not going to change minds here.
