Or they knew damned well what the stats showed and purposely gave us the shaft. Yup, this ↑ Meggs may have been complicit in the shaftage, but I have often felt like the NCAA and other baseball old guard regarded The beavs as interlopers all along. And so is only too happy to leave us out in the cold if given the chance. Can't leave it up to them because they WILL screw us if they can. So YES, Meggs is a douche bag as is the rest of the committee, and YES we should have been in the field of 64 last year. But, of course win the Pac-12 (or be the runner up) and there is no WAY they can leave you out. I'll bet dollars to donuts that THAT is Pat Casey's message to the team, leave no doubt, and having a little Meggs/Committee shaped chip on their shoulder won't hurt, either Another thing to mention is that Oregon State had just hired a new Athletic Director and at least two of the Athletic Directors that made up the committee were passed over for Todd Stansbury. Mix that in with the SECs of this world trying to beat us down. Also, there was only one true member west of Texas and it was Scott Sidwell from the University of San Francisco. The West Coast Conference is just not a baseball conference. The lack of a Big West or Pac-12 representative hurt.

Grackle... I AGREE with you. I am annoyed at Meggs as well, and believe the committee screwed us (although I personally think it has less to do with Meggs and more to do with the committee never fully believing in the Beavs as "real" and wanting to reset the "correct" order of the Pac-12). However, you render all of your points moot and void with the needless personal attacks. Baseba1111 certainly has strong opinions and isn't shy about taking the more controversial stance, and is happy to be critical of the beavers. But he has shown on this board to be a full and consummate Beaver fan, claiming otherwise is just eating our own and cutting our nose off to spite our face. It would be just as easy for him to call YOU a duck troll because you are in here stirring up 8 month old gripes. When we start questioning each others motives for being on a beaver fan board then the argument is over and you lost. Disagree, tear apart his argument, call him a delusional loser.... But calling him an *uck fan is going to far! Don't call him a Jive Turkey either. Yeah!

From Kerry Eggers article on June 5th:
"The 10-man selection committee is comprised of nine athletic directors and one administrator — Robert Goodman, the senior associate commissioner from the Colonial Athletic Association. Only one of the ADs is from the West Coast — Scott Sidwell of San Francisco. The others are Erdmann; Shawn Heilbron, Stony Brook; Kevin Anderson, Maryland; Patrick Chun, Florida Atlantic; Mike Bobinski, AD, Georgia Tech; Chris Del Conte, Texas Christian, and Larry Lyons, Illinois State.
Heilbron and Anderson, ironically, are former assistant ADs at Oregon State who applied for the head AD job that was given to Todd Stansbury a year ago."
Nobody's mad at these guys, who had a reason to maybe be upset with OSU for passing them over?

Wasn't the issue is that OS got passed over for 2 teams that happened to be teams of the selecting AD's? I don't remember details. But Southwestern Alabama College of Cardinals and Eastern Kentucky Truck Driving school rings a bell.
As much as Meggs belongs on the Beavermobile DB hall of fame this kept the Beavs out as well
