I thought I counted 40 athletes. It will be interesting to know which 5 get redshirted or cut at the end.
I also noticed no Pomorey or Gillette? I must have missed something on those two leaving the team.

Pomeroy got drafted and is in the Pirates farm system. Gilette is now at Menlo College....can't find any mention of why he changed. Could be he just needed a change of scenery, could be one of those "Juke El Trio" situations, where he was told he was welcome to stay, but he wasn't going to see the field......who knows.

That is an impressive roster. The walk-on will be the redshirt or cuts from the 40, but even those guys have some talent. I have never really understood the scholarship guys counting against the 35 man roster even with a redshirt, season ending injury, or cut. Tough decisions to be made.
Gillette is at Menlo, and Pomeroy is playing pro ball.

I posted a note last summer that Cade Warren's brother is a duck pitcher. No high school baseball in Montana, but he did play on AAU and Baseball Northwest.

Joe Gillette - no room to break into an elite roster. In limited appearances last season, an OPS of .315. Best of luck at your new NAIA college.

O, I understand. But it's customary to provide a link so everyone is looking at the same thing.

Cade Warren is listed at 5'11" 146. Let's get him to a buffet!

Whatever happened to David Brosius? I was wondering the same thing. I thought he would figure into some mound time this year.

Brosius was never going to be a factor here until his Jr. year, if then. He was a above average 6A pitcher, but, he is not in the class of the kids on the roster, nor what you need to win at the Pac12 level. He was a project coming off injury and was simply not as good as the other guys.

Another former Beaver pitcher, Reza Aleaziz, is now at Yavapai (Ariz.) CC and got a mention in Baseball America's JUCO preview, www.baseballamerica.com/college/2017-college-preview-san-jac-yavapai-juco-favorites/#e3fU1tPEkpD8jf6H.97
