Calvin just committed to Nebraska. I hope it snows every game and his family has a hard time traveling to the games and that he ends up sitting out a year and transfers to OSU. Im not bitter... Geez, Louise, he's just a kid. You act like you got turned down for the prom. Get a grip.

Geez, Louise, he's just a kid. You act like you got turned down for the prom. Get a grip. Am I disappointed he didn't come to OSU? Yeah. Andersen recruited this kid hard for a reason. Do you know how many hours go into recruiting just ONE kid? To make it this far in the game means that we have spent countless hours trying to recruit this talented kid. Andersen and the staff are bummed too I bet but they wont lose sleep over it (neither will I) because they have to focus on the guys left on the board. Still lots of talent left out there. Its the nature of the beast though. I wonder what you would have said if a player we used to have that was similar in size and skill who ended up being the nations top receiver (Cooks) hadn't chosen OSU..."he's just a kid. You act like you got turned down for the prom. Get a grip."? Probly not...

C'mon....NOBODY knew Cooks was going to be all world as a high schooler. Had he stayed with UCLA, we'd all be talking about another kid Riley let slip through his fingers now that he's one of the best WRs in conference history. (That line's for you devildog)

(That line's for you devildog ) My point exactly...nobody knows how these kids will turn out, but I would MUCH rather have a kid on the team that under performs and having Beaver Nation say "why did we recruit him"? rather than not having a kid on the team and saying "We were down to his final two teams and we had a shot at this kid!". To dismiss a 4* recruit as if its no big deal (after all we only get a few of them a year if we're lucky) is downplaying it. Am i bummed? Yeah. Will I lose sleep over it? Nah. like I said, there's a lot of talent left out there PLUS if there is one position we are loaded at...its the wideout spot.
