Loved the pass from Tinkle to Eubanks for the massive dunk.
Not so sure this would be a "resume win" like the TV guys keep saying. Beat Valparaiso and we can talk resume.

Heck of a game. Biggest difference is hitting those free throws! We shot 75%, which is reasonable but still not great. We aren't always going to be shooting 50% from the field, so hitting it from the charity strip matters a ton!
And really, 70 points given up to Iona is not a bad effort on D. They are a high scoring team that returned a lot of starters from one of the highest scoring, and fastest paced teams in then nation. Iona is in the conversation as one of those bubble teams and expected to win their conference. I'll take me a 20 point win any day of the week!

Tres definitely does a lot of the small things that most players overlook but can be the difference. With that being said he may need to work on his control a little bit when attacking the basket. Leaves his feet a little bit sometimes and can be erratic at times. That might work in HS and in early season but not in Pac 12 or postseason.

Fully on board the 'we're going dancing' train! The added depth and athleticism is great to see!

We're much better, deeper, fun to watch, we will get better than tonight, and would love to see this team go far but...
This is a Iona team that won 26 and still goes to the NIT because half those wins are versus low level competition. This Iona team got hammered by 25 by Valpo who held them to 58. Iona is a team we should beat with this talent.
Beat Rice on the road, handle UCSB on the road and then we can talk Valpo next Tuesday. I very very good defensive team... better opponent fg% than we had last year.
It is so nice to see 10+ players... No disrespect to the walk ons last year... hit the floor without Jarmal and Daniel. But, the bad habit from a year ago is still there... losing focus for 2,3,4 minute stretches.
A win is a win, 2-0 is 2-0... But we expected that. Let's go to work on the road now... to dance you have to win on the road and beat tourney quality teams like Valpo at home. We probably have to do more than some teams since we have not danced for some time.

I liked the fact he truly sucked to begin the game. Dad might have pulled another player. But Tres did not lose focus or confidence and made some nice things happen. He does need to shed the "Collier" mode and learn to finish with his right. Tried once on a miss that GPII put back. But, from where I sat almost looked two handed?

He looks athletic and quick to me. I think he still looks awkward at times... growing into the build... but he is also deceiving as he does not look like he is 6'8". When you factor that it, he is very quick/athletic for a developing 6'8" youngster!
