I dunno man, I'm not seeing a ton of athletic ability on the defense. The O line looks like they have concrete feet. I agree that the coaching staff needs to be held accountable, but we lost A LOT of talent.....and injuries have been brutal. How long has Wilcox been at Cal? I guarantee you their talent, and depth is better than ours. What you think you see as a lack of athletic ability is a product of poor coaching. Guys not setting the edge, guys taking bad angles on tackles, poor tackling fundamentals, DBs just letting receivers settle into open space and on and on. The Beavers have guys who are good athletes. The linebackers can all run. Edge guys like Saez and Omotosho can run. The DBs all can run. It doesn't help when some of these guys aren't able to play but we continue to see the same results because they aren't functioning correctly. I understand your point. But, we are also playing teams that didn't lose their HC last season. We really can't withstand the amount of injuries we've had. Wow, and that's why we don't throw down field. All day to throw......I spose that was coaches fault? |

When is it time to just start playing Johnson at qb to prepare for next year? What are we playing for at this point this season?

Let's be honest hankerson is tough and plays hard but last year he wouldn't have seen the field. Mccoy is a rollout run first qb at this level as I have said over and over he ISNT A DROP BACK PASSER.

I don’t see any point to play Ben, let’s not waste opportunities for Johnson to get reps this year when we are rebuilding.
