Can his ass is your call? Give him two more years imo. If they play 3 or 4 more games like today we’d be foolish to stand by that long. I would be surprised if Bray doesn't get 4 years. 1 year (this) because of all the mass chaos and he's stepping into a situation. Next year is the last of the limbo independent years. By year 3, he's stepping into the new Pac-12, has had time to rebuild, etc. By year 4, he's either sinking or swimming. I'm going to just say this year we are screwed. And that's unfortunate because we need to keep winning to stay relevant. And most of these games weren't against an all-star lineup. Boise St will demolish us. WSU will probably demolish us. It will be ugly loss after ugly loss. Next year, they'll have had a true full recruiting cycle, an active portal (hopefully incoming) and people should be used to the offensive and defensive scheme, if there are some. That's going to be your best test of the coach. And at worst, case, Chryst may still be available then, although he'll be about 60. But the way these games are going, we might all age to 80, so it's a wash.

It will be interesting off season for as the portal gives the portal also takes away.

Welcome to the Misery Loves Company thread! You shouldn’t be upset. Check out all these other horrendous losses! Hey! 9-63 Homecoming 1981 against Stanford! Wheee!!!! See? It’s not that bad! I was at that game and it was the most thorough runover on a defense I've ever seen. Elway looked like he was playing street football and drawing up simple plays in the huddle - all of which went for big yardage.

This brings back memories of the humiliation of 1980s Beaver football. More like nightmares !!! I'm too old to heavily drink my way through it like I did back then. What's an old fart to do .....

Our receivers can’t get separation from anyone. We seriously lack playmakers on the outside. Oh, the Beavers have them. They just don't play. Name some. I haven't seen or heard of anybody who is a true major college receiver.

I see the same posters pretty consistently. If someone is just a troll, well, that would seem to be a colossal waste of time for them. Find the last positive post from Rafer and I’ll buy what you’re saying. Good luck! Aww, I see you're into your selective memory mode again. If you found ANYTHING positive in that game please tell us oh master!! One thingvthat stood out, Bray, who am a huge fan of, looked shell shocked and had zero fire on the sidelines. What do the players see? same thing and they follow suit. My opinion, if I'm allowed to have one!!

We're not very good now, for a wide variety of reasons. I'll be at the SJSU game, for one reason: I'm a beaver fan and support my team no matter what. Everyone here supports the team. I can't speak for them. I can only speak for myself. So I did.

This season is derailing the conference rebuild effort. Does Bray not know that winning or at least being competitive is essential? Don’t think he sees the big picture here. I'm pretty sure Bray's main objective this year is to f%#* over OSU athletics in general and football specifically. You are correct.

There is a bunch of WRs that have had little to no playing time this season and many of them seem to at least have the potential to add some much-needed speed to the lineup to stretch the field. Yet for whatever reason Gundy chooses to keep them on the sideline and play guys like Walker and Noga, basically possession receivers. Very few others even see the field. Gundy didn't think it was important to develop a passing game early in the season and the Beavers are paying the price now that they are playing some teams that are tougher to run on. IMO it was a glaring mistake and I've been questioning the over obsession on the run game from the start of the season.

Taz Reddicks, David Wells (injured?), Clemons (has battled injuries), and Jordan Anderson have all seen playing time, albeit not as much as Walker and Noga. Not sure about Card other than the occasional fly sweep and KO returns. One of the problems is it seems McCoy has locked onto Walker immediately. As it happens, Walker has been open a lot, but having one guy targeted about 70% of the time does not help your passing game especially if he is primarily a possession receiver.
As I've said before, IMO the focus on the run game early was in part an attempt to protect the defense. And it was working initially. I don't think its Gunderson's thing. When Gunderson was hired he said he wanted to focus more on big plays because there was too much that could go wrong in long time consuming drives. But I have to say I haven't seen much evidence that Gunderson is comfortable in setting up and managing a vertical passing game.

Not sure how anyone can tell considering the lack of passing offense so far this season. I am not saying the passing offense is non existent but it seems to be not important for whatever reason.

They need to get McCoy to see the whole field or bench McCoy, until McCoy can show that ability.

You don't need burners, if you have guys getting open and making plays. The problem has been at quarterback, not receiver.
