I've always thought you were arrogant Henry and now you've removed all doubt. You may have Whitlock confused with Michael Wilbon, who is a commentator of consequence. Been called many things by many people. Arrogant has never been one of them.
You pretty much labeled yourself as such. It's clear that you disagree with X, so when you say "No one of consequence pays attention to X.", and X has a national platform and a large following, that's close to saying, "No one of consequence disagrees with me."
It's not exactly the same - though it takes a bit of thought to parse the syllogism. But it's close enough to mark yourself as, well, arrogant.
How about instead of dismissing people you disagree with, you engage with whatever idea you think requires refutation. Until you engage with *ideas* instead of *personalities*, it is not at all clear whether you are pro-Women Sports or anti-Black Sports Commentary.

Nobody of consequence pays attention to Jason Whitlock. Did you always think that of him? I'm asking because I enjoyed him when he was purely a sports guy. I haven't seen enough of him in his new arena to say one way or another. I remember when (married) ESPN MLB commentator Steve Phillips got busted for a workplace affair with a young company intern. Whitlock defended Phillips saying that “Slumpbusters” like this girl were getting out of control, and absolving Phillips of any responsibility. Seemed like he was strongly identifying with Phillips’ situation. A bizarre opinion piece.
