Unlv, Calford, and maybe Air Force to go with CSU? Not a fan of the far away teams being included. Barnes said Cal and Stanford are not part of any discussions, ie he has been told neither is ever coming back. They are gone. Pretty sure that's not what Barnes means by this. There was talk that Calford would want to immediately bolt from the ACC to join the Pac-12. That's not the case and is not happening. But I don't believe for a second that he has been told by people at those two schools that neither is ever coming back. As far as the rumor about OSU and San Diego State being looked at by the Big 12, that was reported by at least one journalist who cited a source on it. But it didn't happen, so we have OSU and SDSU and the other four in the Pac-12. We'll see how the rest of it pans out.

Stanford will never, ever, ever, ever, ever be in the same conference as Boise State or Fresno State. It's over, man.

I tend to agree but that's also because Stanford would have options if the ACC does not work out. Cal, not so much. Stanford could easily go independent if it had to and wait on an invite to a conference it would prefer. Or just stay independent. Cal probably isn't getting an offer from anybody other than the Pac-12. Nothing in college football is never, ever, ever, ever, ever. It just isn't. And nobody who matters at Cal and Stanford are saying something like that to Barnes. Stuff like that doesn't make any sense. It would a cause an unnecessary rift between schools that no doubt will want to continue to schedule each other in multiple sports here and there.
