The Big Ten did what they did, knowing full well that it would leave the Pac-12 with four universities at most. And it was less than a year after they tricked George K. into the Alliance. And it was after an almost 70-year agreement, which was put in place, because the two conferences were the two premier non pro-segregation conferences in the country. The scale and scope is in no way comparable. The Mountain West has only been around for 26 years. And, as of this moment, the Mountain West is down to eight teams, which means that the Mountain West is still a conference in 2026, even if they do nothing. Isn't Hawaii an affiliate? Does that count? I'm just tired of the justifying. They got hurt, we got hurt, it's just about the green. It doesn't matter who is hurt more, damage is done. Football affiliates count for the FBS numbers. You only need eight to be an FBS conference. You do not need as many in other sports. Besides, if they want to, they can make Hawai'i a full member.
