I see they have announced the tournament in Texas for next year, but I haven't seen anything about Surprise and who the teams might be. Any help ?

From the stadium website: Sanderson Ford College Baseball Classic - 2025 The City of Surprise, in partnership with Sanderson Ford, is excited to announce the College Baseball Classic featuring the Oregon State Beavers will return to Surprise Stadium in 2025, Feb. 14-17. Ticket information will be released at a later date.

I see they have announced the tournament in Texas for next year, but I haven't seen anything about Surprise and who the teams might be. Any help ? No idea. Oregon State has not been actively seeking anyone else to play, so they may have filled the weekend up already. Last year, they did not announce the opponents until September, so opponents may not be announced until September this year.

Is Kerry Eggers correct?! He's a great source for information, but he occasionally makes significant mistakes (at least I hope this time it's a mistake, and not a 'scoop').
His Sept. 8 article, featured elsewhere on this board, states "the schedule that has been released includes three games at Surprise, Ariz. — Feb. 21 vs. Oklahoma, Feb. 22 vs. Virginia and Feb. 23 vs. Minnesota..." [with Baylor on 2/28].
Is it a 'scoop'? I checked the Minnesota, Virginia and Oklahoma baseball websites. Only Virginia has info on 2025, and it's cause for concern: "For the first time in program history, the Virginia baseball team will play regular season games outside the continental United States when it opens its 2025 season at the inaugural Puerto Rico Challenge on opening weekend (February 13-16)".
The Baylor baseball website agrees with Eggers (Baylor vs. OSU on Feb. 28). Yikes
The Surprise Stadium website still reads: "The City of Surprise, in partnership with Sanderson Ford, is excited to announce the College Baseball Classic featuring the Oregon State Beavers will return to Surprise Stadium in 2025, Feb. 14-17. Ticket information will be released at a later date."
Seems like a potential reservation SCRAMBLE coming up for fans.

Kerry is, without a doubt, a great writer and columnist, but he makes a lot of mistakes. He seems to write some things from memory and often "misremembers", and also apparently sometimes doesn't proofread his work. Hey, not everyone can be Cliff Kirkpatrick. The Surprise dates are set, but teams and schedule have not been announced.

Just to try and make more sense of this, because it was unclear from the other posts: Oregon State plays in the 2025 Karbach Round Rock Classic in Round Rock, Texas, from February 21-23, 2025. Oregon State plays Oklahoma on Friday, Virginia on Saturday, and Minnesota on Sunday. The next weekend, Oregon State plays in the 2025 College Baseball Series in Arlington, Texas, from February 28-March 2, 2025. Oregon State plays Baylor on Friday, Auburn on Saturday, and Ohio State on Sunday. The two tournaments are approximately 185 miles apart with Round Rock being just north of Austin and Arlington being between Dallas and Fort Worth.

I contacted Eggers through his website.
He confirmed that the Surprise dates (2/14....as most fans had thought) were the correct ones, and that he would update his article to reflect that.
Thanks Mr. Eggers!

I have seen nothing to indicate in which order we play the three teams in the Round Rock Classic. Where have you seen a schedule?

Teams and schedule have not yet been announced. All we know is that the Beavers will play four games February 14-17.

Now that the schedule is out for the 2025 Sanderson Ford 'Classic', I think there is some positive news to report. The field is considerably stronger in 2025 than in 2024. I acknowledge that final RPI from a previous season is a flawed yardstick, but since 2025 rankings aren't available, previous season records may be the best tool available to make comparisons. In 2024, Surprise had teams with final 2023 RPI's of: 34, 210, 253, and 297. In 2025, Surprise includes teams with final 2024 RPI's of: 13, 44, 55, and 231... ...and it's Xavier (RPI 44 in 2024) that the Beavers get two games against. Xavier has averaged 34 wins over the last 3 seasons
