More information on the travel impacts of joining the ACC for Cal/Stanford here:

Lots of trucks hauling equipment from Cali to NJ and other pleasant environs involved......
I don't think the article paints a picture of a great conference experience, but the Stanford coach is quoted: "I don't see it as being an issue," Taylor said (and noting the NFL does it, and it's just adding an extra DAY of travel.......sure).
