Clemson's center fielder went full Willie Mays to save the game. Florida has a couple on in the 11th with 2 out.

The kid had great concentration to "feel" the ball and keep it trapped for the catch. And.. something you don't see, really want to see for the kid's sake... kid for Clemson has the "opportunity" to go 0-6, with 6 Ks. Bunt situation so he may get a reprieve?! Of course the lefty goes 2-0 (after a lead off BB), then the new pitcher goes 3-2... fails to get the bunt down... no 6th K... which would have been better than the bases clearing double play!? Yikes... 5 K's and DP... long off season if Clemson can't get a W today. |

Ahhhh... no player is this particular go round. If there was an ejection, warnings... not sure what the big discussion was about that lead to the two coaches being ejected?? There was no new ejection... so... WTF do you argue about enough to get both coaches tossed? I was guessing that the former HC, Leggett, thought more was going on than what was, charged out of the dugout mouthing off. He got tossed and the HC got tossed for arguing that??? I will tell you Clemson's dugout seems to have far more personnel than is allowed on the NCAA form! But, with that hit... doesn't matter. Gators to CWS. |
