Go back and read his comment, he didn't guarantee any outcome, just that the outcome would be different. Which is of course true, if nothing else because in the score book it would be a different name producing said outcome. True, as it was, " almost a guarantee of a different outcome." Which is just as false. So, your claim/argument is that a new name qualifies as a new outcome? Yet you actually infer differently above?! Sorry a new name in the scorebook is not a "new" outcome. But, thanks for another example of a logical fallacy. I do love a good logical fallacy, pray tell which one did I make? an outcome is indeed produced either way... in fact even if you had the same person go back in time and try again the outcome, per physics and chaos theory, would necessarily be different. Oh well, all this really proves is that we are bored and need Friday to hurry up and get here! There are many more of course, but here is a good starter list of fallacies, so you can tell me where I am going wrong

But, thanks for another example of a logical fallacy. I was going to let this go, but obf responded. I re-read what was said, and, as far as I can tell, there is no logical fallacy. You can logically disagree, but I think that you can logically make the point that I made as well. Logical fallacies are outside the bounds of logic. And we are disagreeing within the bounds of logic, as far as I can tell. I try and point out logical fallacies, when I see them, because they tend to be unhelpful to rational discourse. But I have almost certainly made several, because they tend to be easy to slip into. Having said all of that, our conversation was kind of falling into a more philosophical discussion rather than being more concrete, which was kind of why I was just going to let it slide.
