Indiana St.'s field wasn't available or they would have hosted.

My way of explaining it is that we are one of the 16 host sites. If we win our regional and Kentucky, a national top 8 seed, loses theirs, we host the Super because we are the only top 16 seed left in the OSU/Kentucky pairing. I hope you are right and I am wrong, but last year after TCU upset #3 Arkansas on the road, the Super Regional was in Fort Worth (TCU’s field), not at #14 Indiana State who won their regional.

I believe that's because Indiana State's field/city/hotels aren't approved for hosting tournament games.

Tulane coached by Jay Uhlman….Ex-Oregon 3rd base coach under Horton We owe the Green Wave! Oregon State is 0-3 all-time against Tulane. Tulane beat Oregon State 11-9 on March 24, 1986, in Riverside, California. Tulane beat Oregon State 6-5 on March 9, 1991, in Lafayette, California. Tulane beat Oregon State 3-1 on June 18, 2005, in Omaha, Nebraska. Irvine and Oregon State have played 11 games: Irvine beat Oregon State in 1972. The big game between the two was in Omaha in 2007 with Oregon State winning 7-1 to clinch a spot in the Championship Series against North Carolina. In the rematch in 2014, Irvine won two-of-three in Corvallis to eliminate Oregon State. Irvine won two-of-three in Irvine in 2021, and Oregon State won two-of-three in Corvallis in 2022. Teams that won to help eliminate Oregon State in the postseason: 2005 Tulane & Baylor 2009 TCU 2010 Florida & Florida Atlantic 2011 Vandy 2012 LSU 2013 Mississippi State 2014 Irvine 2015 Virginia Commonwealth & Dallas Baptist 2017 LSU 2019 Cincinnati & Creighton 2021 Dallas Baptist 2022 Auburn 2023 LSU
14 teams have handed Oregon State the 26 postseason losses that have ended the Beavs' postseason runs over the last 35 years. And two are in the 2024 Corvallis Regional. This is an excellent opportunity for Oregon State to start up another Revenge Tour.
To finish, Oregon State has never played Nicholls in baseball but has in football and basketball. Oregon State won the only football meeting in 2012, a 77-3 win. Oregon State split the two basketball meetings with a loss in 1993 and a win in 2021.

We owe Irvine some payback don't we? IIRC they eliminated us several years ago when we were the overall #1 seed. Also the UCSB regional is all west coast..interesting regional That memory is still a bit painful.

If UK loses in their regional and we win ours, we host as the highest seeded team left. Always has been that way, and unless they change something, always will be. Only time that isn't the case is if a team doesn't have a suitable ballpark for hosting for whatever reason. We've benefited from it once before as Michigan couldn't host in 2007. That's it, upsetting a top 8 seed does not get you a super unless the top seed also loses in the opposite regional.

Do we have to subscribe to ESPN+ to watch the game(s)? ESPNU for our first game, TBD for others. I believe ESPN runs a channel similar to NFL Redzone as well for the NCAA regionals where they flip back and forth between games.

Indiana St.'s field wasn't available or they would have hosted. Didn't we have a similar thing with Michigan (?) many years ago? SR should have been theirs but it was undergoing renovation or some such thing

Has anyone heard anything about Micah McDowell? From what I had heard he will be good to go for this weekend. Had something nagging him in ASU game but it was minor. Caraway 100% as well I heard. So sounds like we are fully healthy. Only person I don’t know about is Kyle Scott.

What do we know about Tulane's club? Pretty good Friday guy and closer. Led the AAC in home runs. They don’t have much depth on the mound after the Friday guy. They can hit. I think every team in this regional has a good offense.
