Kentucky has never made it to Omaha. Lost in the Baton Rouge Super last season. Kentucky had two chances to clinch a trip to Omaha in 1988 but lost to Stanford twice in a row 6-5 and 16-2. Stanford ultimately won the National Championship. Kentucky lost twice in the Louisville Super Regional 4-3 and 6-1. Kentucky lost twice in the Baton Rouge Super Regional 14-0 and 8-3. LSU ultimately won the National Championship. Two of the three teams that have clinched a spot to Omaha against Kentucky have won the National Championship.

We owe Irvine some payback don't we? IIRC they eliminated us several years ago when we were the overall #1 seed.
Also the UCSB regional is all west coast..interesting regional

Like it. Kentucky is a good one to be paired against. Indiana State is going to be venting some angst on them so maybe we get a super?

Nope. If we win ours and Kentucky loses theirs, we host the Superregiinal.

Nope. If we win ours and Kentucky loses theirs, we host the Superregiinal. Thats because we are the #1 seed in our side of the SR bracket.

My way of explaining it is that we are one of the 16 host sites. If we win our regional and Kentucky, a national top 8 seed, loses theirs, we host the Super because we are the only top 16 seed left in the OSU/Kentucky pairing.

If Indiana State wins the Kentucky Regional, do they host the Super Regional, or does it come to Corvallis? I'm just thinking back to 2007, Michigan beat Vandy, but the Super Regional came to Corvallis, because Michigan's stadium was unable to host. Michigan was the #2 seed in their Regional, we were the #3 seed in ours. Perhaps that's why they should have hosted the Super?

Nope. If we win ours and Kentucky loses theirs, we host the Superregiinal. I hope you are righty and I am wrong, but last year after TCU upset #3 Arkansas in Fayetteville, the Super Regional was at TCU’s home field in Fort Worth, instead of at #14 Indiana State’s field.
