Not much help from other teams in beating teams around our ranking other than Florida over UGA so far today. Virginia, FSU, ECU, Indiana State all keep winning. Georgia Tech is up 4-0 in the 2nd inning of game 2 of their double header with FSU currently though. Lots of series finishing up today with weather coming in for the east/southeast this weekend.

Santa Barbara and Virginia both win to pass Oregon State in RPI and keep the pressure on.
11-15 are very bunched. Oregon State likely jumps two spots to 11 with a win and falls two spots to 15 with a loss.

NC State did just beat Wake Forest to win series before gm 3…… Wake was a projected top 8 . Alot can and will change in the next week.

FSU came back to beat GT 7-6 and complete their 3 game sweep. Oklahoma lost and Wake Forest also lost again (albeit to ranked NC State, but OSU should stay above them). Otherwise not much new action from teams above us to lend us a hand. Tennessee beating South Carolina again probably helps for regional pecking order but we were already ahead of them too.

Regardless of RPI, Wake looks like they are not going to be a top eight seed, unless they play in the ACC Championship Game (or something comparable).

The winning of SEC and ACC tourneys by a 9-16 type that runs thru a few top RPI teams on the way could screw up the Top 8. There are prob, what, 4-5 sure top 8s??

It is hard to not see Arkansas, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas A&M not getting a top 8 seed, unless something happens that is just weird. Georgia has a gaudy RPI, but they are currently sixth in the SEC. They have to play in the stupid extra game in the SEC Tournament and may fall a lot faster, if things start going sideways. Clemson looks good at the moment, but Florida State will finish fourth in the ACC, if NC State beats Wake. I could still see either falling out with a disastrous enough ACC Tournament.

It is possible for us to get up to 9 if wake loses, Indiana State loses and we win. Require some outside help but it's possible. I don't think it really matters though, Wake or Indiana State getting selected above us would be silly. No one below us is justifiedable at this point.
Win tonight and we're pretty locked in.

Here are a few side games to track today that will help us out in the RPI:
Need ND State to beat N. Colorado = +4.9 RPI points
Need Cal St Northridge to beat UC Santa Barb = +3.1 RPI points
Need Zags to beat Pepperdine = +3.5 RPI points
Need PDX to beat St. Mary's = +1.8 RPI points
Need az st to beat unlv = +2.2 RPI points
Need Minnesota to beat northwestern = +2.0 RPI points
Although unlikely, if this scenario were to happen we'd get a nice 17+ point RPI bump...

Don't see a way we get above 11 without a very big let down loss by Indiana State or Wake gets swept. We need to span like 70 pts or something.

Wake is at #10 in RPI and has a 50 RPI point lead on us right now, we need to win (+25 RPI points), a wake loss (-21 RPI point loss for them) and we'll a few points behind; with some help from others we have a shot...

Don't see a way we get above 11 without a very big let down loss by Indiana State or Wake gets swept. We need to span like 70 pts or something. 48 points to Wake and 53 points to Indiana State. If Wake wins, Wake probably stays ahead. But it is possible to catch Wake with an NC State win and help. Indiana State drops 10 points just by playing Valpo, so they are only really up by 42. Oregon State gets 25 for beating Arizona. Add in the 17.5 points above and add maybe one more small opponent game turning out the right way. Yeah, Oregon State can catch Indiana State, even if Indiana State beats Valpo. Northern Colorado is up eight in the fourth over North Dakota State, though, right now, so it is not looking great. The North Dakota State game is an 8.2 RPI point game. If North Dakota State wins, Oregon State increases by 4.9 RPI points. But Oregon State's RPI decreases by 3.3 RPI points with a loss.
