Oregon State's approximate RPI if they finish:
3-0: 11 2-1: 12 1-2: 14 0-3: 19/20
Teams that Oregon State can potentially catch in RPI:
7 Clemson
Oregon State can probably pass Clemson with a sweep and a Boston College sweep over Clemson.
9 Florida State
Oregon State can probably pass Florida State with a sweep, and a Georgia Tech series win over Florida State. If Florida State is swept, Oregon State can probably pass Florida State with at least one win over Arizona.
10 Indiana State
Oregon State can probably pass Indiana State by finishing one game better over the final three games in Tucson than Indiana State in their final three games in Valparaiso.
11 Alabama
Oregon State can probably pass Alabama by finishing one game better over the final three games in Tucson than Alabama in their final three games in Auburn.
12 East Carolina
East Carolina finishes with Rice. In order to stay ahead of Oregon State, East Carolina probably must sweep Rice. Oregon State would still pass East Carolina with a series win of Arizona, even with an East Carolina sweep of Rice.
13 Virginia
Virginia finishes with Virginia Tech. In order to stay ahead of Oregon State, Virginia probably must win the series against Virginia Tech. Oregon State would still pass Virginia by doing as well against Arizona as Virginia does against Virginia Tech.
Most important games tomorrow for Oregon State's RPI with pro-Beaver rooting interest:
1. Northern Colorado @ North Dakota State. Go North Dakota State! 2. Pepperdine @ Gonzaga. Go Gonzaga! 3. St. Mary's @ Portland. Go Portland! 4. Minnesota @ Northwestern. Go Minnesota! 5. San Diego State @ Nevada. Go Nevada!
Other important RPI games in alphabetical order with pro-Beaver rooting interest:
Arkansas @ Texas A&M. Go Arkansas! Bakersfield @ Davis. Go Bakersfield! Michigan @ Indiana. Go Michigan! New Mexico @ San Jose State. Go New Mexico! Oklahoma State @ Houston. Go Oklahoma State! Stanford @ UCLA. Go UCLA! Texas Tech @ Arizona State. Go Arizona State! Utah @ USC. Go Utah! Washington @ Cal. Go Washington! Wazzu @ Oregon. Go Oregon!

First pitch at 1:35 p.m. Go Gophers! Minnesota is currently in 10th, a game back of Maryland, Michigan State, and Ohio State, which are tied for seventh.

I did not cover teams behind Oregon State, because they tend to be harder to predict, but:
16 Oklahoma
Oklahoma finishes the regular season with three games against Cincinnati. Oklahoma likely passes Oregon State with a better record against Cincinnati than Oregon State against Arizona. That said, Oklahoma wins generally help Oregon State's RPI.
Currently Oklahoma 8 - CINCINNATI 3 with the bases loaded and no outs in the top of the seventh.

The difference at this point is one opponent's game turning out the right way. Minnesota @ Northwestern is one of the big ones at the moment with Minnesota up 4-3 in the sixth.

Mississippi State likely needs to sweep and have Arizona sweep Oregon State to pass Oregon State. Missouri's wins against Mississippi State also generally help Oregon State's RPI, although it is not that much of a boost. Currently MISSISSIPPI STATE 1 - Missouri 0 in the top of the third.

But the first baseman committed two errors in the bottom of the ninth to allow two runs to score in a 7-6 loss. Michigan and Indiana apparently moved Friday's game to today, because they expect weather tomorrow. Indiana won Game Two 11-2, knotting the series. Michigan is now tied with Indiana in fourth in the BIg Ten. Minnesota is in 11th, a game-and-a-half behind Michigan State and Ohio State, tied for seventh. The most important game for Oregon State's RPI besides the game with Arizona is the Northern Colorado @ North Dakota State game. North Dakota State is currently up 7-0 in the third.

I will keep the chatter up, since no one else is chiming in. I had not realized it but North Dakota State actually sits atop the Summit League (Saint Thomas is ineligible this year.) North Dakota State is beating Northern Colorado 9-0 in Fargo in the bottom of the fifth.

With a win, Oregon State likely is 11th. With a loss, Oregon State is likely 16th.

Looks like a bit of a mixed bag tonight on the “other games” front. NDSU managed to win, and Alabama lost to auburn, but a whole bunch of teams we’re trying to pass managed to win today. Looks like we’re going to just have to keep winning.

Shows how silly RPI is when people (including the committee) care about a couple of spots....Oregon State, Virginia, Oklahoma and Alabama are all basically tied, we are on top of the group but a CSUN loss tomorrow vs USSB drops us to 13 without anything else happening just in front of Alabama. Silly, but is what it is.

We are now up to 12. Sure feels like a National seed is in play at moment. Probably need to sweep unless there's help from others around us. RPI in the 10-12 range it's certainly possible. If we end the season on a 12 game win streak though then we can take all the guesswork out of it
