You think Guerra, Hainline, Trosky, and Smith are all back next year? Trosky and Smith should be back unless they transfer. The other 2, not so much. I am preparing myself for Guerra and Hainline leaving. Hainline did not transfer here other than to try and polish off his resume to be drafted. There is enough to like in his first two years at Wazzu and over in Massachusetts that his chances of not getting drafted are extremely low. If he loves it here, he stays. Otherwise, he is gone. I cannot see Oregon state keeping both Smith and Weber next year. And major league baseball teams snap up D1 catchers like they are those white balls in Hungry Hungry Hippos. It would not shock me if both Smith and Weber are gone next year. Those four are worth a lot more to a MLB team this year than they will be next year. I can see Trosky coming back. He does everything well but nothing really great. He reminds me of Andy Armstrong, a standup role guy that you can put pretty much anywhere but not really doing anything well enough for MLB scouts to want to want to spend a pick. Plus, he has an extra year on the other three. I just thought that I would throw him in there.

We have a few catchers coming in right? I'd really like to see what Weber can do with a full year starting.

Kasper and Baz sitting. Basically seeing what next year minus Caraway are up to on offense. You think Guerra, Hainline, Trosky, and Smith are all back next year? Hainline and Guerra will go pro unless they think they can get more money with a good senior year (that rarely works out and the player has zero leverage as a senior). Trosky probably back but I also wouldn’t be surprised if he transferred to find a place where he’s an everyday guy. Smith probably back but is he going to want to split time with Webber next year? Or does Webber win that spot outright?
