Anyone else notice the stark contrast in the theme and messaging of the Remainders (for lack of a better term - I just mean "those remaining") vs. the messaging from the Elite 8 runaways (boilerplate "thanks for all the support, see ya" + TvO terse response to Rick Burk)? Probably means nothing, but in this vacuum of real information, I choose to dwell on the contrast, if only momentarily :-).
Wonder if that team meeting was contentious, or there was a faction of "finish what we started"/"built, not bought" versus the
"we'll finish where we can start"/"buy us and we'll build" in the room??
Idle speculation, and likely completely unfounded.....

Well from the way things have played out TVO at the meeting was probably more like: "If we stay we'll be playing in the WCC next year and that sucks for the most part and so barring an unusually large NIL offer to get me to stay here I will be moving on to somewhere with good competition. I will miss each and everyone of you girls as this year was so much fun but it is what it is and we can't help that---Love you all and good luck to each of you wherever you may end up. |
