As many home runs as Baz hits, should he be moved down a spot or two in the batting order and turn those 1 run HRs into multiple run HRs?

No. Because when he doesn’t hit an HR and still gets on, he’s still dangerous on the bases, even with his kangaroo lead off technique. Plus, hitting him lead off is maximizing his number of AB’s

He is hitting with way too much power right now to hold down the one spot. Far more likely that Bazzana drives someone in than Bazzana being driven in. That said, it's working right now, and I would hate to mess with it, while it's working.

If McDowell was healthy, that could be an argument, but he’s the only one that could be better or as good in that spot.

This made me think of Meckler. Then I thought some more and realized Boyd, Hjerpe, Forester, and Frisch would be a Seniors.

Guerra, Krieg, Peterson, or Weber should be leading off. They all have an OBP North of .400 in conference play.
Bazzana should be hitting second or fourth.
Way too much power to be leading off.

The Beavs have two players with shock and awe OBP stats. That's why they hit first and second in the order.
Bazzana .615 McDowell .518
Start your inning with a baserunner. Name of the game!

My position is the same as Smails.
When McDowell comes back, we can talk about batting Bazz second and McDowell first.
Until then: "status quo."

Mitch’s philosophy is that he’s only hitting lead off in the first inning. After that, it’s random and he just wants to maximize his number of AB’s. I don’t think you’ll see him moved even if McDowell comes back.

I'm more inclined to keep Travis at lead off, he's been doing it awhile and is excellent at it.(don't mess with what's working)

What do I expect from my leadoff man?
Make a list.
Who best meets those requirements?
That is your leadoff man.
