Down Kasper, MMD and Caraway isn't great.

Other than being a last minute scratch yesterday, I haven't heard or seen anything thus far. Can only assume he tweaked something in warm-ups yesterday.

He was limping a little last Sunday. He had just taken a hbp directly on an ankle though he had also done some serious sprinting around the bases.

Typical Canham....keeps everyone in the dark. Maybe he thinks it's clever, but all it does is keep everyone uninformed.

Read somewhere it’s an oblique muscle issue and he’ll be out a couple more weeks

I saw him at the game Tuesday night, coming from the locker room area to the dug out. He was jogging just fine. We are a better team with those 3 bats and gloves in the line up. Fingers crossed they will be back for the final push and post season play.

Fingers crossed they will be back for the final push and post season play. Quite the luxury that we don't have to ask guys to play beat up to stay in the win column. The depth could make us one of the healthiest post season teams. Willing to bet the playing time helps us retain these young guys. Reeder, Talt, Macias, Krieg, Trosky and Peterson could start at 90% of the schools in D1. It's really important that we retain talent as we can expect to lose at least 1 starting fielder early every season to the draft. We do a good job backfilling with recruits and transfers but 3-5 year guys are the backbone of a culture. This year we lose Baz, MMD, and Kasper for sure. Guerra is probably also off to start his pro career. Next year we lose Smith, Weber, Guerra, and Hainline for sure. Could lose Turley, Caraway, Trosky, Krieg, Macias to the pros. Pretty much the entire defense will turn over in 2 seasons.

During the Gonzaga broadcast it was said that he had a strained oblique. Probably sustained during pregame BP, hence the late scratch.

With no set schedule next year and no league affiliation what makes you think the portal won't come into play as it has for men's basketball and possibly women's basketball.

Idk, I have no info on players portal interest so I have no way to account for it. If you do share. As far as I know it's still only TVO for women's basketball. Men's basketball should have zero D1 players on the roster until we ditch the stinkle.
