We scored 45 runs last week without Caraway and Kasper. Well aware. My point was that there are holes in the lineup and a team that game plans correctly can expose those holes. With those guys it’s a more dynamic/complete lineup. When a pitcher has to worry about 7-8 guys instead of just not letting 2-4 guys beat you it’s a different story. Scoring 45 runs against a Washington team who throws predominantly FB’s in plus counts is what should happen regardless of who we have in the lineup. I don't think USC is the caliber of team that can plan well enough to expose any perceived holes in our offense. Instead, I think their pitcher had a helluva night, we couldn't throw strikes, we swung at everything, and we made a lot of stupid mistakes. It happens. Today is payback. To be fair, in my opinion this loss was very painful--worse than the loss at Utah. This loss looked like we aren't hardened and professional enough as a team. I hope Canham lectured them hard last night.

Some more modern Baseball Coach maybe can explain the Bouncing Lead off base. I am guessing it is a method to get a better lead. Whatever the heck it is it sure didn't work last night.

Madrigal did that a lot. You see it more, though, when there is no runner in front of you. Moronic to do it with a runner in front of you. Hopefully, we are getting the kinks out before the games get to be more important.

Idk what the hopping style is called but it's been around for almost 100 years. Jackie Robinson used to do it to piss off pitchers.
