Talia went to SC for one reason and one reason only. Her boyfriend plays football there. I guess you can't say that. It makes you look weak. I was going to say that you'd never hear her say it. If her only option to continue playing is overseas I wonder if he will follow her?

When she said she wants to get out and run and was looking for a coach who let her be herself. I took that as she was looking for a more open free flowing style of offense as opposed to Rueck's more deliberate and controlling style of play.

I really wonder what was said in the player only meetings this last season. And who said it. As for tvo going wnba? She is a long shot at getting drafted and making it on a team is very much less likely. I didn't realize that gotleib was a coach known to develop talent for the next level, oh wait, she isn't. The WNBA? Mik didn't make it, Marie hung around for a bit, and Syd was a bench player who managed to hang around for several years. All were better than Talia, as were Jamie, Aleah, and Destiny. I suppose she could play somewhere overseas, but I don't think the WNBA is in her future. She'd need to have a monster year next season, but there's only one basketball in play, and Talia isn't going to see it much. I note, by the way, that, following the players meeting, Talia was the first to enter the portal and then the first to announce her new team. Coincidence, or the leader of the lovefest saying she'll take some of the heat off the others?

TVO: "(The decision is) deeply personal and some of y'all don't know as much as you think you do." Bendu Yeaney on the OSU transfers: "It's a lot more complicated than fans really know."

I would argue that if the elite 8 team stays together, there's just as much of a chance to win a national championship. And the story line "Americas team".....the relegated Beavers. It writes itself.....but nope. Missed opportunity for these ladies, and at the same time, poof! What Rueck built is gone overnight.

Something I hope we learn from all these transfers. What? Gratefulness. Most of the students at OSU are not on full scholarships. They are pay as you go with lots of sacrifices. They count. OSU is much more than fill Gill.

She's never said anything. People who have inside sources have never mentioned this. And what if she did? It's her decision. She put in three years, and yes, mangled the landing exiting off the beam, but it's over now.

Talia opens up to USC YouTubers. Sounds like she was gone in any scenario. Not sure it was just to experience another school/get a graduate degree, or if it was to be in a system closer to what the WNBA plays. She really leaned into making the WNBA. Then there was a domino effect when one or more said they were leaving, with the WCC being the reason for players after the first few bailed. That's my reading of her comments. She wants to be WNBA ready, maybe another got a NIL deal?, then the remainder wanted to get to a power conference? At best Talia will be the 3rd option on offense. But I'm guessing lower than that. A WNBA team ain't taking a 3rd option player. If all of the players would have stayed, it would be highly likely she would have been at best the third option, maybe even 4th with the emergence of Dono. Her game/ statistics have not improved and slipped from previous years. There is no way she is WNBA material, and could possibly get buried on the bench at USC.

Sounds good. She talked about going home to Texas on an interview she did last summer. Wanting to be near home works for me, she works at a gym doing basketball training in the off season and it's really a pretty good business for her.
