How many strikes did you throw at this level? Only asking because it's easy to bitch about it if you've never been in that situation. Just saying. That's a stupid comment. Doesn't matter if I played beyond Legion ball or not (I didn't). I'm not playing at the DI level. They are. Pitchers are taught to throw strikes from the day they start pitching. It's a constant at EVERY level. And it's not the weather. We walked or hit five guys on Thursday and again on Friday, when it was dry and warm. And with a three-run lead we just walked another guy and hit another to bring the winning run to the plate, so that's 18 walked or hit this weekend, 18 free bases. You might be OK with that. I'm not, we're going to be playing much better teams than CSUN and won't be able to get away with it like we did this weekend. Yeah free bases should be eliminated, we must be perfect every game to win. With multiple pitchers down for the series we should execute anyone who gives up a freebie. .

Batter leans into the ball and gets on with a HBP. Bases loaded 1 outs. Umps off to review the HBP. HBP stands. Bases loaded with one out. The first pitch just is foul off of first. 1-1 the count right now. Holmes works a six-pitch strikeout and then plunks the next hitter. 9-7 Oregon State with two outs and the bases still juiced.

That's an even stupider comment. Some walks/HBP are unavoidable. But if you are a DI level pitcher, you should be able to consistently throw strikes. This many walks/HBP is unacceptable, especially when playing an outmatched opponent with a five- or six-run lead.

4-6 groundout just beats the runner's headfirst slide. 9-7 the final.

On a 70 degree no wind day we have 4 more homers lol Two of our homers only went out because of the wind. It was howling to left. I was there freezing my ass off.

Whats an acceptable number then? Its completely dependent on what your offense can do, weather, and situation. We won, we have won all but 1 game. The pitching is good enough so far. If you guys want to find a loss in a win go for it.

And it's a sweep of a very good team. It’s a sweep, but that’s not a good team.

I was simply asking him what an acceptable number was since he was the one that stated the number of free passes OSU gave up these 4 games was "unacceptable"

And it's a sweep of a very good team. It’s a sweep, but that’s not a good team. What's your criteria? the 9-2 record and 8 game win streak they had before they came to Corvallis? The conference they play in? What? I love when OSU beats someone in whatever sport there's always one or two posters who have to downplay the quality of opponent. CSUN could have been 20-0 and ranked #1 and someone on this board would still say they weren't a good team lol
