Camera work.....wow, it's a struggle at times yeah the first game they would only show the runner and ignore where the ball went lol

When Oakes keeps the ball down he looks real good.

When Oakes keeps the ball down he looks real good. Other times he fastball is sailing on him and he reminds me of #20 the last couple of years (Victor Quinn.....)....but 4 outs on 4 batters so far and getting his job done.

Oakes looks like another high quality reliever so far. Able to get the hard strike calls. Would like him to keep the ball down and pump more strikes but hes not giving up the freebies.

Oakes looked great in 5th inning, let's see if he can keep it up Interesting that he throws a lot of fastballs at the top of the zone or just high. Nice, easy motion with good velocity. Just haven’t seen a lot of Beaver pitchers with their best pitch being the high fastball. Mixing it up a lot more in the 2nd inning.

And really jinxed him, pulled for Montgomery (likely concreting my Lattery prediction for Weds starter as he was the other that was out there)
4-1 Beavs, 1 down in the 6th

Tephen looked good as well. A guy with a fine change-up? Haven’t seen a lot of straight change-ups from Beaver pitchers this season.

Interesting that Mitch hasn’t played too many field players. He usually experiments a lot early on. Let everyone get reps. He might be very sure of his lineup

Interesting that Mitch hasn’t played too many field players. He usually experiments a lot early on. Let everyone get reps. He might be very sure of his lineup Starters have been Weber/Smith, Guerra/Krieg, Baz, Hainline, Caraway, Kasper, Mcdowel, Turley/Macias with Starting DH being Peterson/Turley,Guerra. First game we had I think Forrester, Reeder, Trosky and Santana. Stats page says Trosky has been in 2 games now. So yeah maybe not as much experimenting with starters but plenty of guys getting out there.

I was hoping to see Trosky pinch hit for Hainline this inning.

Montgomery really with a different look. Changes speed on every pitch.
