Mundt comes in to close! 13 pitches, 2K, 3 BF game! 15-2 Beavs
In summary: Our offense can be held at bay with excellent pitching but if you let up for a second you are likely in an insurmountable hole. We scored 13 runs in the 7th and 8th after their starter came out.
Pitching was a strength today. Segura looked like a solid starting rotation player with a really high strike rate (like 65%+), Holmes looked like an ace reliever and Mundt looked like exactly what we hoped he might be 2 years ago, a legit closer.

What I am seeing is the margin of error for other teams is a razor with this offense. We are averaging almost 5 HR a game through 3, thats absurd even for a nice hot streak. Statistically our worst career batter is Smith and he had 3 hits and hes batting 400. We have a legit 11 deep with Peterson and Weber and that doesn't even count Talt, Macias, Trosky and Reeder who have all had quality starts in the past. Are we seriously 15 deep at the plate with proven P12 quality players?

It was good to see Mundt out there looking good, after missing the last couple of years.

Unlike the 18 team, this team isn’t filled with grinders, it’s built more like an SEC offense. Everyone has power and most everyone has speed. Perhaps the scariest visual is when Trent and Brady bunt and get on, now you have legit power players who force you to defend all 402’ of the ball field, from the plate to the fence. I know for a fact I wouldn’t play the bunt against Trent, dude could literally kill you with how hard he hits the ball.

Damn! I listened through the 6th inning. What a battle! Then the wife had me go look at a couple of houses with her. When I came back to the car, Mundt was closing and the Roadrunners had hemorrhaged. I almost felt sorry for the Bakersfield. It was a close game for 6 innings. Hey wilkyisdashiznit have the Beavers ever produced so many HRs in just 3 games? Any 3 games?

Bakersfield looked like they all got concussed.
