The E8 run was awesome, for sure, but can we agree that, in all reality, that was an absolute lightening in a bottle, just showing up out of nowhere, magical run? It's not like the team/program had been progressing to that level of success for the preceding couple seasons and this was a natural progression of the trajectory of the program. It came out of absolutely NO WHERE! For crying out loud, they were an 8 seed in the Pac-12 tourney. Even if they made it to the conference championship game but lost they wouldn't of been invited to the NCAA tourney. They were that bad throughout the season. So, I think it's misrepresentative to make it sound like that E8 run was proof of growth of the program. Had they made it to the semis the couple seasons before or even made it to the tourney the seasons prior we might think they are ready to contend for the Pac-12 title. No, they were no where near that. It was an aberration, period. Albeit, a really fun one to watch! The minnow that they've been is of their own doing, the University, that is. That's my point. There hasn't been sufficient investment in a head coach in those 30 years. No, overpaying Tinkle does not count as sufficient investment. LOL! So did the 1969 Mets. Doesn't diminish what happened, or what they accomplished. It happened. You can't keep contending it doesn't count. We had won 18 games the previous two seasons, and had won our Pac-12 tourney opener in 2020 and had won three in a row before Covid shut the season downs. We were progressing toward the bigger thing we accomplished. BTW, we were the #5 seed in 2021 but had an opening-round bye because Arizona was ineligible. That why we only played three games.

But as you said nothing beats the national anthem before Hawks games. Can’t imagine what it must have been like to be there when Wayne Messmer opened up the United Center for Hawks with his first and last performance for Hawks after he was shot in throat. If anyone hasn’t heard that, check out some videos on Youtube. Remember seeing one where you can barely hear Wayne for first half of song. Can’t believe Hawks fired him.

Lol. Please. I'm more United Center than either. The old Chicago Stadium had one of the largest organs in the country. Not sure if they installed it at the United Center. Largest organs in the United States: 1. Boardwalk Hall Auditorium Organ in Atlantic City
Largest organ in the world and the loudest musical instrument in the world, although it was only about 60% operational as of last year.
2. Wanamaker Organ in Philadelphia
With the Boardwalk Hall Auditorium Organ being only 60% operational, the Wanamaker Organ is the largest fully-functioning organ in the world. Six stories tall. The Wanamaker Organ was originally built for the St. Louis World's Fair and Olympics in 1904. After the World's Fair and Olympics concluded, the company that originally built the Wanamaker Organ went bankrupt. The organ was subsequently sold to John Wanamaker in 1909, who shipped it from St. Louis to Philadelphia on thirteen railroad freight cars. It took two years to install, so that it could be played and was subsequently enlarged over the next six year to get to its current size. The Wanamaker store subsequently became a Macy's. It is located just to the Southeast of Philadelphia City Hall. I visited in 2018 and took this awful picture:
The organ starts beneath the gold statuette and parts proceed to the ceiling with most of it hidden behind the panels above.
A 2,500-pound Grand Court Eagle from the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair is at the same Macy's, as well. Each of the 5,000 feathers was wrought by hand in Frankfurt, Germany, in preparation for the 1904 St. Louis World's Fair and Olympics. Supposedly, an often-used phrase in Philadelphia once upon a time was "Meet me at The Eagle." Second terrible picture:
3. West Point Cadet Chapel Organ in West Point
The West Point Cadet Chapel is the largest chapel/church organ in the world.
4. First Congregations Church of Los Angeles.
The second largest chapel/church organ in the world.
5. Hazel Wright Organ in Garden Grove.
Also formerly known as the Crystal Cathedral Organ, back when that was a thing. It was the organ from the old "Hour of Power" television program. The Catholic Church bought the organ and the old Crystal Cathedral out of bankruptcy in 2013 and has renamed it the Christ Cathedral.
6. Mary Baker Eddy founded the Christian Scientist religion back in Boston in 1879. The organ was built for the church in 1952.
The next three are all church organs back east. 10th is the Mormon Tabernacle organ in Salt Lake City.

Lol. Please. I'm more United Center than either. The old Chicago Stadium had one of the largest organs in the country. Not sure if they installed it at the United Center. Unfortunately, most of the organ was damaged in a fire in 1996. Phillip Maloof, the youngest of the four Maloof Brothers ( the Maloof Family owns the Las Vegas Golden Knights), owns the console (the part that you play) for the United Center Organ. He keeps it in his house in Nevada.
