Could Portland area WBB fans that currently attend games at Gill "scratch their itch" by heading to Moda instead? I too believe there will be uplift, but just don't know how large that population of PDX area WBB fans that drive to Corvallis is - but apparently the population of PDX area fans is large enough to sustain a WNBA franchise. Looking forward to it myself. Go Beavers!

The 2 previous women’s pro league teams failed. Hopefully 3rd time’s the charm.

I would be very surprised if the WNBA is not successful in Portland. Womens basketball and the WNBA is exponentially more popular then when Portland last had a team. Viewership has tripled since last season and attendance is up 265%. The WNBA has arrived.

He may wait to see how this aeason goes but it would be a great steping stone for his career. Sad to say!

He may wait to see how this aeason goes but it would be a great steping stone for his career. Sad to say! Maybe a popular hire (??), but Scott and the WBNA style of play are NOT a match. The "little general" would lose his mind not having complete control and calling a set play every time down. He "fits" at OSU, but not sure other than his record, if his style of play works at most elite college programs. But, his days of raises are probably over at OSU as he is very much overpaid for the WCC and lower tier power program (IF the new Pac12 will be considered that?). So maybe he'll have a conversation if it comes up?

He does have a system but he knows already that competition in wnba allows him to modify strategy because he can get really elete players and that could change his mind.ďl

A nice interview with our newest assistant coach. She is impressive, I don't think it will be long before she is a head coach somewhere. If Rurek ends up leaving I wouldn't mind seeing her take over.

Wonderful to have Syd back at OSU and can't wait to she her at Gill. She truly is, in OSU's history terms, a generational player. Faith based, me too.

So confident, purposeful and at ease with herself. She’s got to be a great recruiter and leader. What a blessing to have her on staff.
