APB has a bunch of former transfers (as do many schools these days), but it looks to me like most of them were on their roster last year. So last year's results are very relevant. Basically it's Jacobs plus getting Green back from injury (I'm assuming, since she barely played last year). Big additions, but the roster is very largely the same as the previous season. Yeah... those damn SWAC teams... fans thinking OSU is a top 4-6 Pac12 but a SWAC team not even picked to win it's conference is a good opponent?? Weird what was the score vs the undefeated SWAC champ/NCAA tourney qualifier at Gill vs an eventual 11th place Pac12 team? And, vs the other (3) Pac12 opponents? Or vs Southern the other SWAC tourney qualifier? Win or lose, APB is not a quality opponent.

I keep seeing lots of optimism about the Beavs, like maybe getting back up into the upper third of the Pac 12. Yet this hand wringing about APB. Not a team that should be able to push OSU. They aren't even a mid major, they are a low major. We aren't talking about a team like Gonzaga, Florida-Gulf Coast, or South Dakota/South Dakota St. that have a history of being competitive against P5 schools.

I guess I'm thinking it's a sign of some uneasy confidence? Maybe attempting to build up a schedule/opponent to make the team look better? What should be assessed a certain W if said expectations are even close to right. You'd think??

I feel like the Nevada loss, albeit a meaningless one has a few people on edge. But realistically, this team is plenty talented to have a really good season. I have concerns about the lack of a truly legit Pac12 PG but am excited to see how Dono does at that position. Beyond PG, I believe the team can be really really good if things fall into place, girls get comfortable in their roles and they get some momentum going.

If APB gets smashed then you were right all along about how bad they are, and if the Beav's have a rough time with them then you were right all along about how bad a team the Beav's are.

Regarding the 'Whole squad ready', was Susana injured for the exhibition game? I don't remember hearing anything, or seeing her name in the box score.

Last season Nolan ranked the SWAC as the #30 conference in D-1 WBB. This season Nolan predicts an RPI of 252 for APB, with a 0-11 non-conference record. This game is essentially equivalent to last seasons Prairie View A&M game (11/19/22), which the Beavs won 100-59, with Raegan going wild.

Nolan also figures that Stanford will go undefeated this year and that Arizona will come in 2nd over Utah. I think Nolan's crystal ball is a bit cloudy.
APB got transferred in two guards who averaged a collective 30 points a game at better schools. And since they played and beat PVAM twice last year before they got the transfers it seems logical that they are better than PVAM.
If the Beav's are the team I think they are then they will win. But if the coaches think like many here do it could be an ugly win.

Beavs should win this game. But APB has a few talented and athletic players. They are better than anything last season would indicate. Beavs need to not look past anybody. The one concern I would have is the potential of full court pressure on our young guards and keeping APB off the offensive boards. Should be a 20+ point win, but may take a little bit to break them down.

Can anyone tell me...if I have Sling TV (Orange plus the Sports Extra), will I be able to watch today's WBB game? Or am I only going to get what Pac-12 Oregon shows in it's listing, an old men's tournament game?
You can message me if you don't think this is of general interest.

I think the only way to watch today's game is via OSU streaming: pac-12.com/live/oregon-state-university
