At least for me I would only consider it at a full share. Out of spite I say screw all the other conferences lets keep the Pac alive just because none of them want that  But that is an emotional reaction I should probably be mature enough to ignore... It'd have to be full share or better, with a potential Apple deal being non-existent.
They have said and shown they don't want us enough times that it's fairly obvious an offer would be TV network driven, driven in fear of Apple most likely.
I like the idea that OSU and WSU are said to be exploring all options. If they can come up with something new, exciting, and reasonably close to a Big 12 offer, it'd be much better than to join a conference that has basically insulted you.

Oregon State and Wazzu make more money with the leftover Pac-12 money, i.e. going to the Big 12 would result in Oregon State and Wazzu taking a pay cut. I am wondering, if there is a way to do a merger with the Big 12 and make it work, though.

I think staying P5 at this point, even at a bit of a discount, is worth it. I just don't see the upside to merging with the MW, other than travel. I think we have a better chance to keep Smith around and keep the recruiting at a high level if we are in the B12......also its exponentially better baseball conference

Tempting as it is, emotionally, to just tell them to pound salt (not the actual words I would choose), you don't want to let emotion rule your judgement. If the Big 12 offered us (and Washington State) a full share deal, we should take it, even if it means dividing up the PAC 12 money with the 10 traitors.
Less than full share? No thanks.

That could change in the future, but there was some meeting a couple weeks back that was touted to be the big meeting where the Autonomous 5 would become the Autonomous 4. The meeting happened, but nothing changed. The only thing I saw about it was th The Monty Show where they said they had heard it sounded like nothing would happen for at least a couple years. If true, there's no telling what could happen. |

I'm all for OSU and WSU to the Big 12...but the offer better be a full share.
I actually think that if ESPN is making the call (it most likely would be) that a full share would eventually be offered.

I think the Big 12 could be a decent fit.
But if the future is conference breaking then the idealist in me says keep the Pac alive.

B12 checks all the boxes for me; football, M/W basketball, baseball, wrestling, gymnastics and track
High level competition in all of those sports in that conference
