I refuse to believe that Oregon is not the main culprit for the demise of the conference of champions. Next thing you will be telling me is that they are not responsible for climate change. And many of you won't believe that Washington in a sense was in worse financial shape that OSU. And some to this day think that Oregon did the move for the money. Those guys are flush with cash.
I get the anger for Oregon but Washington is panicking for cash maybe more than anyone else except CAL.
"-2012 stadium renovation debt payments are $9.8 million a year. They jump to $17.7 million a year in 2026."
Who gives two $h*TS between the mutts and hole who was a bigger culprit to implode the conference? There are many culprits with varying degrees of fault. Let’s move on. More concerned with how this $hitty situation continues to get salvaged.

I wonder if at some point he should be let go. He needs to get past the sulking and do something.

Should have made a plea to the Big 12 a year ago to leave the Pac first.

Once USC blocked the Big 12 deal, we were hosed.....the only schools that want us are group of 5 who are trying to get to the next level.

I do give Barnes a piece of fault. Should have made a plea to the Big 12 a year ago to leave the Pac first. That's just hindsight, and is totally unfair. If you took a poll of those who post on this board, what percentage would say they were pushing for OSU to leave the PAC 12 in August, 2022? The discussion then centered almost solely on which schools should be brought in. With respect to Barnes doing something now, what would make you think he isn't? If his primary objective is to somehow resuscitate the PAC 12, nothing can be done there until all 4 schools are in agreement on that very basic idea. If his primary objective is for OSU, acting just as an individual entity, to cut a deal just for themselves, then he's probably been working on that. If you're not in a position of strength, you're not going to negotiate through the media. It took the 6 most recent traitor schools a full year to join the 2 original traitor schools in betraying the conference. Give Mr. Barnes some time.

He has worked the phones tirelessly and has explored any and all options. He is hosting almost daily updates with boosters to let them know minute by minute where things stand. If we have no options to leave today, why would we have had options to leave a couple of years ago? He has few cards to play

Unless he's helping pay Pat Casey. I appreciate what Unky Phil has done for us. That said, imo, ultra wealthy donors like Phil are ruining college athletics......along with the networks, and NIL.....it has culminated in what we are currently headed towards. College football has turned into a monster that controls the entire collegiate world. So as much as I appreciate Unky Phil's contributions in the past, the whole "Hey f%#* you guys we're bailing to the B1G......but we'd still like to continue the Civil War.". It's the equivalent to breaking up with someone because you found someone better, but trying to keep them as a booty call. Am I bitter? Dam right! F em! Eh, I don't think the donors have much to do with it. It's the networks. When the ACC has to go to ESPN to ask them to pony up extra shares for expansion, there's a problem.

Most people are fine with their own congress member representing their state but it is the others that caused all the current problems. In the end not one AD or President will lose their job on this. Why should they the other guy caused all of this. Larry Scott has to be laughing and he worked for 12 University Presidents and 12 AD's and not one of them said back then "Hey wait a minute".
And for George K. He just looks inept.

Furd is trying to get into the ACC to broaden their recruiting for football to the East Coast. With their academic requirements, and location on the West Coast, they are behind the 8 ball.
