It’s actually not definitive that they killed it. There’s a lot of stories that name Arizona as the start of it and that caused uo and uw to bail. Sure. But the Ducks decision to go created the mass exodus that left us out in the cold. Fwiw, I think the Apple deal was a non-starter. Being relegated to a streaming platform instead of appearing on a regular channel was bulls%#t. It would weaken the brand. For an average contract. A lot of risk in signing that deal. It makes me think we were doomed from the start. I think that Oregon or Washington ultimately made the the decision that the Apple deal would weaken their brands. I believe that almost everyone else was on board.

Time to move on. Being angry and hoping for pipedreams come true is going to be an unpleasant path. People rarely go out of their path for things that truly matter, not going to do so for college sports. That’s what the Seattle newspaper says: it’s better for the Fuskies in the long run and sports fans will soon enough forgive, trading the Apple cup for a game against Michigan or Wisconsin. I doubt it's better in the long run. UO and UW will never win a conference again in that system.

Good. Then they should boycott the teams. That would bring them back in a hurry. Time to move on. Being angry and hoping for pipedreams come true is going to be an unpleasant path. People rarely go out of their path for things that truly matter, not going to do so for college sports. I am guessing that you don’t remember the losing years or when the ducks weren’t very good either. It’s hard for those of us who remember the s%#tty years, lived through the amazing surge, get screwed by Andersen, and now sit as a true contender, only to see all that dashed because of who we used to be.

I became football aware in 96 at about 7 years old. I remember when the ducks were coming out of the toliet with Belotti. Most of my duck friends are longtime fans too so they are less putrid than the masses that joined up during the Chip days. There are two type of duck fans in my mind. The ones who say the 2010 record was 12-0 and the ones who say it was 12-1.

I actually went to the 1995 Rose Bowl and witnessed the ass kicking by Penn St.

By the time Belotti the 'stache showed up, uo was already winning ball games.

Stache had two 10 win seasons and an 11 win season. Brooks beat year was 9-4. Chips worst season was 10-3.

Both were 9 win seasons and both were good yuck teams. Why the f am I arguing for the ducks?
