Not really - a big portion of the schools that were a part of it are gone - it has to be renamed and rebranded anyway. I agree with the concept of time to grieve - but for me - time's up. Time to move on. I'm sort of upset that we didn't hear something from the Pac or from OSU about the future. 4 schools are drowning their sorrows and/or pissed off and/or in severe depression (or most likely, all of the above) and a word of hope would go a long way right about now. Are there really any fan bases that are happy right now? Seems more like it’s varying degrees of upset.

I can't even be around any of my Duck friends for awhile. I will say something likely damaging to the friendship after they try and rationalize how it was a 'business decision', or how we would have done the same thing, or any number of tropes I'm seeing bandied about that somehow make it all okay. f%#* those god damn a-holes. (Cautionary tale here about posting after several drinks...)

It didn’t end well.

Maybe they'll take their "referees" with them! They were always pandering to the big-money schools.

I think Fusky fans and f%#*induck fans are feeling good that their team has been validated and will remain so. Let's modify that to... "for the next 13 months". Once they begin regularly losing 3,4,5 games per season, aren't in line for major bowls or the CFP, and only have $ to show for a bunch of unhappy athletes in other (probably football eventually) programs... fans will begin with the rationalizations. I'm thinking there will be plenty of detractors very early in their first full year in the B10.

There’s a lot of stories that name Arizona as the start of it and that caused uo and uw to bail. Sure. But the Ducks decision to go created the mass exodus that left us out in the cold. Fwiw, I think the Apple deal was a non-starter. Being relegated to a streaming platform instead of appearing on a regular channel was bulls%#t. It would weaken the brand. For an average contract. A lot of risk in signing that deal. It makes me think we were doomed from the start.

Being angry and hoping for pipedreams come true is going to be an unpleasant path. People rarely go out of their path for things that truly matter, not going to do so for college sports.

People rarely go out of their path for things that truly matter, not going to do so for college sports. That’s what the Seattle newspaper says: it’s better for the Fuskies in the long run and sports fans will soon enough forgive, trading the Apple cup for a game against Michigan or Wisconsin.
