A source close to the Lakeridge program is trying to tell me Paul Wilson is “hiding” a more serious arm injury from OSU. Apparently those close to Paul are being told he needs TJ surgery. Take it for what its worth. But this kind of news would mean we wouldnt be seeing Wilson for a couple years. If ever. At OSU If "a source", yourself, and "those close to Paul" know about it, surely both OSU and MLB scouts know about.

Paul Wilson, Round 3, Pick 76 to Detroit Slot Value $945,100 Way to go Paul! Good for you! A million bucks is life changing money, and he should definitely sign (assuming the physical checks out). It seems like TJ surgery doesn't scare MLB teams nearly as much as it used to, so even if part of Detroit's investment is to get him the best surgeons possible and help him rehab for a year+, they may be willing to sign him regardless. Go Paul! Go Beavs!

Take it for what its worth. But this kind of news would mean we wouldnt be seeing Wilson for a couple years. If ever. At OSU That rumor is fairly accurate. If you happen to see him throw later in the season it was apparent he was not healthy. I would argue the "hiding" part. OSU and scouts know what's going on... and, I doubt his family out right lied to either party. A 3rd or 4th Rd pick/$ and rehab or ?? will likely get Paul to sign IF there is indeed some issue. He stated in a earlier interview he/"nobody" cares which round you get drafted. That it is journey no matter what. Better to do it getting paid and under 24/7 guidance and supervision. But... as we learned (some??) from last year's class and hype, there are no program changers in this class as true frosh. It is also a "journey" coming into elite D1 ball. There will be a lot of new faces that will need to get their feet wet and be ready to contribute by Pac11 play.

Go Paul! Go Beavs! A million isn’t really life changing money in this day and age. And he is from Lake Oswego. Having said pitchers do run the risk of getting hurt in college and never getting drafted more than position players.

Oh come on, even after taxes and all that, a million bucks is still life changing. It isn't, "Retire to a Mega yacht and never work again" money, but it is still a huge win fall and boon, especially for a teenager who can then invest it and get many many years of compounding interest. As much as I would love to see Paul in a Beaver uniform... if I was advising him he would have already signed Either way Go Beavs!

Paul should take it with his injury history. I highly doubt he gets full slot. I wish him well. I think he’s in for a long haul
