Is it just me or does he look bigger than all the kids he outruns?

Is it just me or does he look bigger than all the kids he outruns? He's got some thickness which frankly we need. Having a wideout that can break through an arm tackle is fantastic.

I have no idea what competition level his is playing against in HS but this video he looks like a man amongst boys and he's only 5'11" 185 lbs (although that's a big receiver for OSU these days!) Just an observation...that probably can be said about most top level recruits. I rarely watch highlight videos. Im certainly stoked to see him in Orange and Black!

It's a Catholic boys private school in Salinas CA. They mostly play other private schools. Equivalent to 3A/4A in Oregon. He absolutely should look like he's trashing everyone in the league just like he is. Trevon Bradford would be a good size/speed comparison.

Is it just me or does he look bigger than all the kids he outruns? Three star nothing much their not lighting fast 10.8 isn’t that fast why aren’t we recruiting height with the qbs we have now There is four offers to guys that are 6'2+, the shortest is 5'10, three are 5'11 and 6 are 6'0. Tall athletic receivers are one of the hottest recruits in football. Since Smith has arrived we have recruited Trevor Pope (6-1), Jimmy Valsin (6-3), and Sam Mason Jr (6-2). We have transferred in Harrison (6-2), Makita Tongue (6-2), and John Dunmore (6-2). Notice that Harrison is the only one to be a regular starter so far. Loose count of offers over 6' by year (does not count those listed as athletes. 2019 - 13 2020 - 12 2021 - 13 2022 - 11 2023 - 18 As you can see the majority of our WR offers are for tall guys, they are hard to land. Most of our tall wideouts are walk ons. Noga (6-2), Munyagi (6-2), Walker (6-2) and Boschma (6-2). Notable that Cole Prussia would have been our premium tall recruit but he ditched us for Princeton then ditched Princeton for the Ducks. 10.8 100 m is very fast. Specially since his start technique is quite bad per the video I caught. He could probably get into the 10.5 range with some technique based on room for improvement and his 200 m time. California has 26 juniors who have run a sub 10.8 100 this year and less than 60 sub 10.9. His time would be the 4th fastest mark in Oregon this year.

He’s a jumper. He finished 2nd in the State long jump finals a few days ago apparently. He might be a bit more athletic than some give him credit for.

If you watch the highlights you can see him breaking tackles, cutting, going up for balls, out running guys, running sweeps with power. Honestly he looks like a strong scat back with hands. Who knows how it translates in FBS but I'll never complain about getting guys with his tools in the program. Improve the room

I don't care how tall He is. If smith says he is worthy of a scholarship then he is good enough.

Maybe you are projecting that same time a year, 2 years into the future? Like he topped out in his Junior year? Nonsense, although it can happen. My son not only got much faster from his Jr to Sr year in HS, he dropped .34 in the 100 his first 2 years of college! Btw, this kid has a faster HS time than my son did, and he qualified for the P12 Championships 2/3 years. But even if this kid has topped out (doubtful), if that is a FAT time it’s better than most receivers in the PAC.

I thought all your mentions of your athletic past were satirical! Or did you just marry into good genes? Assuming he was sub 11 sprinter a 0.34 improvement is really good. Must have been fun to watch him! Must be just as much fun to watch the grandkids!
