Looks like we might need some help now....Cal beating Stanford tonight would put us back in our own control assuming we dont' get this one back NOT... Furd needs to go 2-0 to assure a 1-1 OSU is a top seed to advance as the 4th team. As 2-0 Zona wins pool B WRONG, wrong and wrong. Keep reading. |

Bring up all the stats you want the pitching is horrendous. Best pitching staff in the country? Hmmm....not today. Wonder if all those teams that would gladly trade for our staff want to trade back?? Although this doesn't include our Fri/Sat guys... the point still stands. Our pen was more consistent/better for a large part of the season. |

If UA wins this game then UA is 2-0 and WINS the pool.....leaving the Beavs only route into the semi-final being the 'wild card'. b.) If Beavs lose this game, in order to be the wild card the Beavs would have beat ASU and then finish as he highest seeded 1-1 team. Beyond that, my brain goes goofy. |

Top of the order is not cutting it for the Beavs. It's been a recipe for disaster all season.

It's not that hard people....
If Beavs 1-1
1) Get in by winning pool - so beat UofA, lose to ASU, all 1-1, win the pool
2) Get in by Stanford winning their pool - so all 3 teams 1-1 (thus Stanford beats hole, loses to Cal) or Stanford 2-0
3) Get in by Stanford not winning their pool - 0-2
rgeorge and his quick opinions says NOT to one of those 4 things, but it's hard to argue with math, but he can try

Obviously you did... to actually correct/update you initial incorrect post. In not taking last nights game into consideration, 2-0 Furd is far more likely. Completely wrong, I did take last night's game into consideration, the ONLY way the Beavs own their own destiny tomorrow morning if they lose this game is for Stanford to lose tonight....if Stanford wins tonight and Beavs lose today, we wait till 7pm game tomorrow no matter what.... |
