She also has a year of playing eligibility left and we need a point guard. š Your playing clock starts when you first enroll. Even if she hadnāt played one game in the WNBA, sheād still be out of eligibility.

Well, I have none to give. But didn't KB go to Duke because Taya and Aleah were her besties? Taya has graduated, Aleah is back here, and Kennedy is stuck in North Carolina. She should feel a bit jaded. It's her own fault, but you have to feel for the girl. Iād welcome her back if she could develop her offensive game beyond an uncontested 2ā bank shot.

This is a great hire. I wouldn't want her on any other staff besides OSU. She'll be good at coaching and recruiting. Hopefully the women's basketball version of Jonathan Smith.

Just because itās the easy choice does not mean itās the wrong choice. Really excited about this hire. In my unprofessional opinion, weāve been needing someone who can connect with the younger recruits better. I think Aleah has a great opportunity to do just that and make an immediate impact on this group, in terms of both skill and culture. Welcome home Aleah!!! So Hunter was incapable of connecting with the younger recruits? Hunter had a list of younger recruits on a lap top.

Kennedy is not stuck in North Carolina. Chances are she has graduated, and as a grad she is free to transfer for her last season. I don't think by any means her pride would allow her to come back, but she would be a near perfect addition to the Beavs for the upcoming season. She would get plenty of minutes between the 4-5 spot. She would be one of the better additions I could think of, but the chances of that happening are near 0%.

Aleah is what was needed for OSU's recruiting. Hunter is a nice gal, but I thought it was telling in an interview with Ron that after he said that Hunter was kind of quiet Brown kinda loudly agreed. To get things started with a recruit you need someone like Aleah. She's definitely a talker and a people person. I watched her in a coffee shop once and she is a very warm, friendly person who loves to bring sunshine into other people's lives. And she knows how to talk basketball!

Then why is Hunter on the staff? Now, you have 1 experienced assistant and 2 women just out of college with little coaching experience. It may work, now that you brought Ely back, but he canāt coach on the floor. Surprised that SR wouldnāt want somebody with more experience if heās comfortable with Hunter being the younger, ārelate to the playersā coach.

The bigs this year said that they learned a lot from Deven. This was her second year here and her first year must have been tough with a couple bigs that didn't want to be here. After they left I'm sure Deven was questioning herself.

I don't think Hunter was hired as the "relate to the players" coach. I think she was hired as the bigs coach, just like Katie was. There seems to be a shortage of coaches who can take care of that, hence hiring one coach from sorting towels and another from being a student aid type.
