Just because it’s the easy choice does not mean it’s the wrong choice. Really excited about this hire. In my unprofessional opinion, we’ve been needing someone who can connect with the younger recruits better. I think Aleah has a great opportunity to do just that and make an immediate impact on this group, in terms of both skill and culture. Welcome home Aleah!!! So Hunter was incapable of connecting with the younger recruits?

Huge vote of confidence towards Rueck and the program.
Love the hire. Aleah had one of the most impressive career growth trajectories of any OSU player in history; she knows the work it takes to keep getting better, how to get the most of your physical gifts, and how to build and have mental toughness. If she can coach people to be what she did as a player, she’s going to be excellent.

She also has a year of playing eligibility left and we need a point guard. 😎

Some interesting perspective. Both Shalexxus and Aleah were in the class of 2017. I believe both played for Cal Stars. They were probably teammates?
Not sure there’s many still playing in the class of 2017.

Aleah did play with Talia when Talia was actually a senior in High School….but chose to graduate early and enroll at Oregon State. I think they developed a great relationship.

One of my favorite picture of OSU's players is the one where Aleah has her arm around Talia walking off the court. The look on Talia's face says it all. Easy to see that Aleah was a mentor to her.

That's the picture! I have a feeling that Talia is going to come back better than ever. I also think we will see her smile on the court more.

How is Kennedy Brown going to feel about this? WGAF?

How is Kennedy Brown going to feel about this? WGAF? Well, I have none to give. But didn't KB go to Duke because Taya and Aleah were her besties? Taya has graduated, Aleah is back here, and Kennedy is stuck in North Carolina. She should feel a bit jaded. It's her own fault, but you have to feel for the girl.
