Someone help me. When was Terry Baker's #11 retired? Like 1999 or was it earlier in the 90s? It certainly was not 1966. And that dude both put Oregon State on the map and basically engineered the invite into the Pac-8. Comparisons between Baker and Rutschman are comparing apples to oranges in so many ways. The last time that I checked, the only athlete, who has a statue at Oregon State is Dick Fosbury, because he revolutionized a global sport. Once Baker gets his statue, we can talk about Rutschman. Talking about retiring Rutschman's #35 in 2023 is slightly less ridiculous than talking about retiring Simonton's #35 in 2005 but only slightly. Let's give it a couple of decades and come back to this. Rutschman was awesome in 2018. Baker was otherworldly in 1962-1963. Apples and Oranges have a lot in common.

Football debates aside, Baker's name is on the Valley Center for his college exploits - Adley has already far outdistanced him as a pro (Baker was never a pro quarterback, would have been a much better wide receiver imo), and so his name belongs up at Goss in a very prominent place for his college success. You retire OSU #s for their careers at OSU. Zip to do with any pro career! Yup

Isn't that off-campus? If so, my statement begins to look more correct. It's still a building that is owned by the school. They own several buildings on that street. Stop trying to get away with a "lawyer" technicality I have never thought of anything Southwest of Western and 35th being "on-campus." Also, if there were no technicalities, most of us lawyers wouldn't have jobs. And, as Neil deGrasse Tyson once famously said, "Lawyers have to eat, too."

Brent Rooker had a great diving catch on that one liner to left with the runners going to rob Rutschman of an RBI or two anyway.
