Damn, wish her the best moving forward. It puts a lot more pressure on the staff to find some size in either the portal or overseas.

Somehow I had it in my mind that she would stay for another year.....
I don't know why I make guesses when I have virtually no solid information......I guess that qualifies me as a sports fan....
But, for some reason, I really expected her to stay....The Beavs will miss her....The fans will miss her....I'll miss her...

The hand writing was on the wall a month or more ago when her best friend on the team---Noelle---decided to move on from OSU to try her hand professionally overseas---my thought then was that Jelena would probably follow her in a similar path possibly together. |

There is a genuine allure for North American kids to play ball in Europe - at least in certain countries - so I can see a young grad giving it a shot....
Especially if you want to learn a second language, and broaden your cultural horizons - and play ball all the time...
I've known first-hand quite a few young men who've played in Europe, indeed, I've coached at least half a dozen who have done so....
I don't know first-hand any women who have played for pay in Europe........
I did not know about Noelle's ambition to try her basketball skills in Europe - but it totally surprises me...The skills she brings to the game are easily found among the local athletes in every European country that plays the game professionally....
I wish her well, but her decision quite surprises me....
I look forward to reading updates on how things go for her.....Anyone who knows her, please keep us posted....

Great article on Jelena. It seems like her knees may have held her back from reaching her full potential. Hope she finds success in her future — whether it be on or off the court.

Then let’s refer to the “Joe Beaver Show” intro. “Can you afford a college? Yes, “Can you afford a stadium?” yes…”Can’t afford both so let’s tear down the (stadium).” If we continue to support those that OSU gave more than they gave OSU.
