As much as some want to malign Craig Robinson as a coach, his overall record at osu was 46.9%. Tinkles overall record is 44.6%. Can we at least find a coach that could outperform Robinson? I'd at least like to try. How many Pac12 titles did CR win? What was his record in the NCAA tournament?

After 7 years at Stanford, Haase is at .450. Get rid of him. Kyle Smith at WSU: .455 Fire him. MIke Hopkins at UW: .455 Terminate him. All three have better winning percentages than our guy.

Alitishe was a transfer in. Silva was a transfer in. Andela was a transfer in. Caloo was a transfer in. Silver (who played an important role off the bench late in the season) transferred in.
Basically all of our big guys and one guard thst played very well during the tournament during the elite 8 year were transfers in. Anyone who thinks Tinkle hasn't had ANY success with the transfer portal is off their rocker.
He blew it badly on transfers the next season, oh well.
If everyone else sticks around we could still be having the exact same starting lineup we were going to have. Several of Taylor's best games were when he didn't start - does that say he should have started, or does that say he isn't as motivated when starting? Was there a reason he didn't always start? I don't know.
He's a talented kid and played consistently well the last few games this season, but I question that he was a lock to start every game next year.
Taylor was nails at the foul line. He was very good in the transition game, esp ecially going to his left in my opinion. He also had his occasional issues that young players have, and we had a bunch of young players this season.
We'll miss him, but how much I can't say. There was a lot of good in the play of 4 true freshman that started at various points this season. I'm hoping they develop. If they continue to develop (I think they will) and the incoming freshman pan out similarly (unknown) this team will likely be stronger. If Tinkle brings in a transfer or two that pan out, great.

WSU hasn't been to the NCAA tournament since 2008. What's the problem? Stanford hasn't been to the NCAA once under Haase. Oops. Hopkins got UW into it once and got bounced. Ouch. Hurley's 0-2. Got bounced both times.
This is MBB reality in the Pac12 for the middle/lower level programs.

So in your world winning 1/3 of league games will forever be ok because tinkle was the coach when the team put together a really good three week stretch. How long does that gold star last? A lifetime?

A lifetime? Didn't OSU make the NCAA twice? Did you forget? What about the shot Jarod Lucas hit in the Pac12T that beat Utah? We were heading for the NIT until everything was canceled. What about the 5 winning seasons that never happened under Jimmy, Eddie, Ritchie, Jay and CR? That conference title and Alatishe being named Pac12T MVP? That won't be happening again in your lifetime.

I'd at least like to try. Tinkle has had lower lows but significantly higher highs than Robinson. Robinson inherited starters and kids who later started for him for three years from the previous coach. Tinkle inherited 0 starters and 0 who were starters 3 years down the road from Robinson but still gad a better track record of .500+ seasons than Robinson. I highly doubt Robinson would have done as "well" as he had done if he hadn't inherited 11-12 kids off the previous year's roster. Robinson's overall couple percentage point lead over Tinkle at this point is benefitted by getting invited to, and winning, the CBI tournament one year despite only winning 13 regular season games.

Go to Nevada. Their NIL will pay you $100,000 and it's a better program. OSU NIL won't pay that. Go to San Diego State. Their NIL will pay you a stipend every month, will OSU? To get these kids to come to Corvallis and stay, it's gonna take cash. Why don't you $tep up $peakthetruth? Rather than giving some nil money to players why not use the nil money plus whatever cash the athletic department has and payoff tinkles contract. Of course there are some maybe even you that think tinkle is the best we can do. But in reality there are many coaches that would take the job and do at least as good a job as a 34% league winning percentage. There you go again. Your pathological hatred of Tinkle is getting boring.

So your argument is if a person doesn't like the coaching of a certain person it has nothing to do with that coach's abilities or records it has everything to do with hate. Don't understand the personal attacks but you be you.

Why go to UNR ? Or UNLV? Over osu… if you don’t like Tinkle, ok…. But as far as $$$, NIL….. doubt those schools have that much to offer. I’m assuming he’s got other offers. Jarod Lucas said he was getting substantially more at Nevada than at Oregon State. You have to pay more to get a guy than you do to keep a guy. Look at Miami: Nijel Pack got $800K to transfer from Kansas State. Isaiah Wong, who was already at UM, got $100K. Wong is the better player, but getting significantly less.

Don't understand the personal attacks but you be you. The Oxford-American Dictionary defines hatred: "to dislike somebody/something very much." Yes, hatred is the appropriate word. Your obsessive hatred of Tinkle may be evidence of emotional issues that should be addressed by a qualified professional. Also, lately, you've started the same obsessive need to express your "dislike" of Reuck and, more recently, Canham. If you're unable to handle criticism when you post your s%$t, don't post it.
