If Mr. Taylor leaves its another player that began his career as a freshman at osu but didn't finish his four years of eligibility here. Other than the three sons and Reichle how many Other recruits under tinkle used all four years of eligibility at OSU under tinkles helm? Don't blame the nil that's only a year or two old. NIL started recently, but the portal is almost 5 years old. Players staying for 4 years at same school rarely happens anywhere. And, Eubanks went to the NBA.....is that a knock on Tinkle?

Big G was a four-year player. Transfers Payton II, Kelley, Silva, Alatishe, Akano, Calloo all completed their eligibility here.
The four-year player you speak about pretty much doesn't exist anymore.
Now do the other Pac-12 schools and see how we stack up.

After 33 years, people are still looking for excuses? Why not accept reality instead?

You must really hate coaches in general. Or is it OSU coaches? As usual your comment is simplistic and lacks any sense of analytical rigor. Here are the reasons why a young man [or woman] might transfer: They miss home. They have an undisclosed medical condition. They aren't as good as everyone told them they are and transfer to avoid accepting that fact. They didn't like the university as much as they thought they would. They find Corvallis boring. They think they deserve more playing time. Mommy is in their ear about how poorly they've been used and it'll be better with another coach. They don't get along with one or more coaches. They don't get along with more than one teammate. They transfer to a university that hires someone to do their schoolwork and take their tests. The team isn't very good and they want to be a winner. The coach is bad. So, how many players have left OSU under each of those circumstances? Are the number of first and second year transfers out of OSU greater than at other Pac 12 universities? Colleges nationwide? But, of course, in your world they all transfer because, like you, they hate Tinkle. Or Reuck. Or ...

Sounds to me like some people expect Tinkle to hold kids to their “contract” to play at OSU come hell or high water, but don’t want to honor the contract the university made with Tinkle when things aren’t going well.

North Carolina has five or six players in the portal. The first of probably several Gonzaga players bailed today.
It's an epidemic infecting far more programs than OSU.

Other than the three sons and Reichle how many Other recruits under tinkle used all four years of eligibility at OSU under tinkles helm? Don't blame the nil that's only a year or two old. 2014: Nine members of the 2013-14 squad quit the team after Craig Robinson's 2013-14 debacle. Cameron Oliver quit after Tinkle was hired. Chai Baker was the only freshman recruit. Baker suffered a cardiac arrest on August 19, 2014, at Oregon State's Basketball Practice Facility and never played a game. The 2014-15 team utilized six walk-ons, as a result. 2015: Drew Eubanks played three years before declaring for the NBA Draft. Gligorije Rakocevic was a team cancer (personal opinion), who played for four years. Stephen Thompson Jr. played four years. Tres Tinkle played five years. Noah Togiai played a year before concentrating on football. Derrick Bruce stupidly announced that he was transferring. Nine days later, he wound up getting in a car crash while speeding without a license, lied to police, and fled the state. He eventually wound up at Texas Southern. Kendal Manuel missed his freshman season with a broken leg. He played two years before transferring to Montana. 2016: Ben Kone played two seasons before transferring to Tennessee State. JaQuori McLaughlin played two seasons before quitting the team, because of post-traumatic stress disorder after witnessing the 2017 Islamic State Barcelona attacks. He transferred to Santa Barbara and wound up play four games in the NBA. 2017: Zach Reichle played four years. Ethan Thompson played four years. Alfred Hollins played three years at Oregon State, sat out the 2020-21 COVID-19 year, and then transferred to UTEP. 2018: Jordan Campbell left Oregon State six games into his freshman season, citing family issues. He transferred to Fresno State the following year, which was indeed closer to home. Jack Wilson left Oregon State seven games into his freshman season to transfer to Idaho, where he played for two years. It is believed that Wilson left, because of the play of Kylor Kelley and Warren Washington. He then transferred to Wazzu to play football for two years. Because of injuries at Wazzu, Wilson played basketball for the Cougars after the football regular season concluded, playing briefly against Oregon State. Warren Washington transferred out after a year to Nevada; played at Nevada three years, including the COVID-19 year; and finished his final year at Arizona State. Antoine Vernon was at Oregon State two seasons and then transferred to St. Francis in Nova Scotia during COVID-19. 2019: Julien Franklin redshirted his freshman season and played in the Tourney. He transferred to Cal Poly and just finished up his redshirt sophomore season. Gianni Hunt played his freshman and sophomore seasons, playing 24 minutes in the Elite Eight. He quit the team nine games into the 2021-22 season to focus on his mental well-being and then transferred to Sacramento State for his Junior season. Jarod Lucas played three seasons at Oregon State before transferring out to Nevada for his Junior season. Dearon Tucker played two seasons, including playing in three of the four Tourney games. He transferred to Indiana State for his Sophomore season and played at Cal State Northridge for his Junior season. 2020: Isaiah Johnson played two season at Oregon State and then transferred to Portland State in September for his COVID-19 Sophomore season. 2021: Glenn Taylor was the only freshman recruit in 2021.

Two or three a year, which has been the norm lately, is not an inordinately high number. Arizona and USC regularly have 4,5 or 6. That's a high number.
