I thought Jenny was a pretty solid hire. She seemed to do a nice job at UCLA - especially recruiting and had some head coaching experience.
UNC fans seemed to think she had a few issues with assistants and players there, so maybe not a surprise she and Scott butted heads.
I think it’s too early to judge her recruiting here (2024 class would have been a better indicator).
If she is leaving, I wish her all the best at her next stop.

She could also be leaving simply because she got another HC job.
I sure would hope assistants were pressing to try different things this last season, given how the season went.

I think it's fair to say she did little to show she could bring in any recruits to Oregon State. True, she didn't have a lot of time but there is nothing that points toward her be a major factor in landing any players in the 2022 portal year, 2023 recruiting, or 2024. Both Bendu and Aaron were definite SR lands, and I would probably say the same for the two 2023 recruits. She did appear to be a solid hire, and perhaps did a good job with the players, but as the recruiting coordinator, there hasn't been much that points to her as leading the way.
As for player combos on the floor this past season, I would venture to guess that we probably saw more combos than any time in recent history. Not looking this up right now, but there were numerous different starting lineups, and many games where players were given a chance to show what they can do with extended minutes. If anything, the inconsistency may have hurt the Beavs.
Ok, my curiosity got the best of me. All 11 players started at least one game this year and Martha had the least minutes at 290. The previous year 9 started, and two played under 200 minutes. The year before that, only 5 players started, and the year before that 7 players started and four played less than 200 minutes..

Hard to say as the '21 & '22 class were built to be the foundation of the team (prior to covid extension) so the '23 class wasn't ever going to be a blockbuster nor should it have been. The '24 class will just need to patch up any holes that develop and the '25 class will have to be good.

sparty says about Jenny Huth: "She wanted to be more up tempo in the style of play and your right she wanted to work with different combos."
sparty, I'm REALLY curious to learn how you would know this. From comments you've written in the past, I get no sense whatsoever that you have any direct connection with the team or the program. If I'm wrong, please let me know....
Otherwise, back to the question: How do you know about the nature of the disagreements between Huth and Rueck? GO BEAVS!!

Water cooler discussions. There are people here with much more direct contacts that hit on things pretty accurately. You likely know who they are because they post often.
And they weren't disagreement per se. Just reinforced what another poster brought up to us first. Look at rgeorges early post shown here:
"Jenny and Scott butted heads. Mostly on playing time/lineup combos, rotations, and using a zone more. The weird thing is that the rumor is Jenny is moving on, but some of her "thoughts" eventually were put in place late season. All except Martha being more deserving of PT.
Unfortunately Jenny is not a "yes woman". Scott likes to be agreed with. "

Promote Holsinger and Hunter, then bring in a young coach that can recruit! Preferably a woman and former player.

Looks like Huth removed any mentions of Oregon State/BeaverWBB from her social media bio. I believe there were some references to it previously. I could be totally wrong, but thought it was interesting. As usual, on top of things there nostradamus

Jonas is already an associate head coach, not sure there is another step before head coach.

Promote Holsinger and Hunter, then bring in a young coach that can recruit! Preferably a woman and former player. Jenny was the recruiting coordinator, so someone with that experience would be good. Seems like Duke has some person who is titled "Director of Recruiting and Player Development". Maybe she is too young and inexperienced to work with SR and the Beavs? There are plenty of names to throw out there. I'm wondering is Scott already had a plan in place.
