Not to leave out the rest of the NC schedule... RPI 310, SOS 322: Tulsa 5-25 FL A&M 5-22 FL 16-16 Bushnell 12-17 non D1 PSU 10-19 (x2) 20% of PSU wins! Seattle 18-12 Green Bay 3-29 Denver 13-17 Beavers also played Texas A&M. Did the poster deliberately leave it out or was it a mistake? Either way, the list is incomplete.

At this point, I’m okay with a non-con of mostly perceived cupcakes (pot, meet kettle), with a few more challenging games. Build up some confidence, pile up some wins. Hopefully be in the bubble conversation in March We have so much to work on as a team that it makes sense to schedule ego-building wins rather than certain losses. They can be good learning experiences.

YOU missed Texas A&M, not him lol. It was already mentioned as a team they played. If you weren’t so busy constantly and endlessly having tunnel vision and accusing everyone who sees things differently than you, maybe you’d notice these things. But I gotta be honest….you are entertaining. You’re even right sometimes. Just not as often as you think unfortunately

I think you need to compare OSU to teams who played the same schedule or close to it for an accurate comparison. For example, comparing OSU offensive numbers to Toledo's is apples and oranges. Look at the defenses Toledo faced, then look at who OSU faced. It's a bogus comparison IMO (although anything that makes OSU look bad, you will highlight over and over). Beavers were 2nd to last in ppg among all Power 6 conference teams. Cal was the only one worse. Apples to apples enough for you? Pac 12 overall is not a great conference — Lunardi projects the conference with the least amount of bids (4) among P6 conferences. And we know the Beavers didn’t play a very good NC schedule. You’re right that anyone who thought the Beavers would beat UCLA or Arizona this year is a little nuts. But don’t make it sound like the Beavers schedule is over run with top teams. In other news, Ken Pomeroy ranked Oregon State's defense six spots ahead of Miami's defense. And the Canes won the ACC regular season championship. As for whether the Pac-12 is great or not, it's early. Lunardi dumped all over the Pac-12 in 2021, and the Pac-12 put three teams in the Elite Eight and were a ludicrous shot away from putting a team in the Championship Game. Lunardi can suck a lemon.

Duke upset regular season champion Miami in the ACC semifinal to earn the right to play Virginia in the ACC Championship Game. Texas A&M beat Arkansas in the SEC quarterfinal to earn the right to play Vanderbilt in the SEC semifinal. Missouri plays regular season champion Alabama in the other semifinal. ACC Champion Duke. Texas A&M defeated Vanderbilt to earn the right to play Alabama in the SEC Championship Game.

I don't recommend trying to make an echo chamber where no one questions you. It's bad for mental health.

I don't mind disagreement. I'm just tired of the same people turning every MBB thread into "Why I hate WT because the offense sucks". This has been done over and over again to the point it's becoming it's own echo chamber. Every MBB ends like this. Case in point: check out the recent thread "If Chol Marial wasn't injured, how many more wins?". Same person, same material. Boring.

When it comes to OSU MBB, you have 2 talking points: WT offense sucks and revisiting the 3 win season. It's tiring. Do you have any new insights about anything else? Let me guess, if you remove the good teams from the Beavs nonconference schedule, it's really bad? Yippee, you've got a third.

Not sure your point. The discussion was about how bad Oregon State’s offense was, so not sure why Miami’s D is relevant. But I’ll let you in on a little secret. The goal is to win games and finish at top of standings, not finish well in KenPom rankings. So yes, OSU finished slightly ahead of Miami in adjusted D, but Miami was 12th in adjusted O compared to the Beavers at 210. I’m not a big Lunardi fan, though he does a good job figuring out who will be in tourney. He’s not nearly as good at projecting seeds. And I was more referring to the conference as a whole not the top teams. If AZ or UCLA wins national championship, that doesn’t make the overall conference better. It just means a team from Pac 12 won the tourney. I think at the top, Pac 12 is better than ACC, and possibly even top to bottom — both conferences have some stinker teams.
