Duke is ALL about defense, their offense sucks. Brown started and certainly was a part of their outstanding D, so I think she definitely contributed to their success this season.

Hmm...Curry from Cal is certainly a talent, not sure she would really fit into Rueck's system, but I'd be surprised if she looked at OSU anyway. We'll see.

OSU should be working their Beaver tails off to get Jada Curry to come to Corvallis. This would be a grand slam if we could bring Jada Curry to OSU WBB Program. |

Looking at the 6'3" + players listed on wbbblog.com - not a lot of production from a quick review of their stats. Several appear to be the back ups to the back ups with maybe 4-5 minutes per game. If the roster needs another post, the availability so far is rather slim.

With the 1200+ in the portal last year, there weren't a lot of good players with size even then. I'm not sure the portal will get as large this year. It will expand as teams season comes to an end. It would be nice to land a player or two.

Maybe Rueck isn't necessarily going to rely on the portal for a big. He could land another international player to fill the spot.

- Mackenzie Kramer, Lehigh, 5-9 G, 17.2 PPG, 42.7 3FG%
- Matilda Ekh, Michigan State, 6-0 G, 11.8 PPG, 38.5 3FG%

Hottinger shot 44% from the field and 28% from three. Ekh's stats aren't as good but she played in a much tougher league. I assume both Lehigh players will be heavily recruited by the new Minnesota coach. |
