Fox was canned after a 3 win season. Can you imagine canning a coach after winning just 3 games? Fox should have promised 11 wins next year.

Yeah, they're exactly the same..... Cal has a history of a lot of NCAA tournament appearances the previous 20 years and Fox won all of 38 games in 4 years. Tinkle took a team with 0 tournament appearances in the previous 23/24 years, and only 3 winning seasons in that time, to 57 wins and a ncaa tournament appearance in his first 4 years.
By the way, someone on this board was all hot to drop Tinkle for Fox a few years back.

Trying to find a place to practice...no charter flights which other schools have and many other things. Sometimes it's deeper than just a coach. You have to give a coach the tools to succeed.

Fox seems like a nice guy too. But everyone knows where they finish, right?

Maybe Cal will want to hire Tinkle 😁 Cal MBB job > OSU MBB job. According to Canzano the Cal job is actually pretty terrible. OSU has a practice facility, they charter all away conference game flights, tinkle and assistant are supported much better than Cals coaches

Cal's program is capable of getting 5 star MBB recruits. They did it not that long ago.

I don't care if the article is geared towards football, the same holds true for MBB. Not so much for WBB or baseball or soccer. It's because football and MBB are the money sports.

Abundant Texas talent spills into both Stillwater and Lubbock. That's why location is key. For Corvallis? Not so much, plus, the ducks will buy/bribe any local talent from the drop, leaving OSU with the scraps. I'm hoping NIL changes that.

How many former players/ parents of athletes have you spoken to? I recently spoke with the mother of one of our starting FB players, and she loves Corvallis and is happy it is not near a major city. If what you say is true, how are we now landing four and five star players? Why would DJ and others we coming here? Not buying it - just an excuse for poor recruiting and coaching in the past.
